Jeffrey (cont.); Additionally everything that sets us above a beast is in our likeness to God in our moral and mental faculties. And even a beast is able to think! The difference with them is that they can't sin, even if they are evil. A moral consciousness and understanding knowledge is the fundamental quality and aspect of the firmness of faith and can only come through God's teaching and grace.
  • A disciple on Matthew 1 - 8 years ago
Dear Jeffrey; We DON'T take our new course in life in Christ following the world! "Blessed is the man who WALKS NOT in the counsel of the ungodly, NOR STANDS in the way of sinners, NOR SITS in the seat of the scornful; BUT HIS DELIGHT IS IN THE LAW OF THE LORD, AND IN HIS LAW DOES HE MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT." We have to think in order to repent; so who doesn't want us to be able to think? Satan!
  • A disciple on Matthew 1 - 8 years ago
Jeffrey; If you read the beginning of the Book of the Proverbs, you'll see the answer to your question. The Word of God and His Holy Spirit of Truth given into our hearts is for training us up in the way which we should go. God gave us His commandments with the expectation of the ability which He created in us to DO THEM! Infants and children don't stay that way in their minds when they grow up.
  • Opus Monica on Psalms 5 - 8 years ago
God is a God of love, mercy restoration and above all he is jealousy God and wont allow his people soaked in wickedness, he is our creator patient at all times waiting for us to come to repentance. Unto those who persistently dwell in wicked manner, he will destroy them.
  • Sandy on 1 Kings 14 - 8 years ago
RALPH M. WATERS I believe all babies and Children are innocent, Jesus says to come to him as children. That tells me that Jesus wants us all to be as innocent as a child they don't know evil they are very forgiving, loving, humble, and honest. I believe an aborted, or abused child's souls go to heaven before they are abused or aborted. And We all have to answer to God in the end.
  • Jeffrey on Matthew 1 - 8 years ago
    @ A disciple
    Proverbs 3:5
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding"

Not to say that we should completely forsake the use of our God-given intelligence to reason things out. But how can we possibly subject God to the same laws, beliefs and ways of thinking that have been instilled into our minds by this perverted society and expect to understand His ways ?
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Ephesians 2 - 8 years ago
Eternal truth- For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Song on my lips today is:

How Excellent is Your Name, Oh Lord (2X).
How Excellent is Your Name (2X)

  • Randy on Romans 1 - 8 years ago
Hey there Austin! Yep, I hear what you're saying. It's funny, because the god they worship doesn't mind their godlessness. And they think they are moral. Verse 28 sure fits. Don't know your email.
  • Randy on 1 John 3 - 8 years ago
Son of David: One does not take salvation. It is received. That is why we have ceased from our labors, because we cannot attain to righteousness by works of the flesh, but have to submit to HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS by the SPIRIT OF TRUTH! The workers in the vineyard have ceased from their own labors, and now work for GOD.
  • Christi on Revelation 12 - 8 years ago
The great red dragon is probably Nibiru, which has an asteroid belt or "tail" as described in verse 4. The stars that it knocks down to Earth are the asteroids that fly around it. The Earth may have a 28 degree pole shift, which could be the reason one third of the life on Earth will perish. We need to be ready to see the Lord any day now. The Rapture comes after tribulation. Stop sinning now.
  • Glen Stuart on Acts 10 - 8 years ago
"In the name of Jesus" is the only way to approach God the Father. Jesus is the only mediator between God and man.
  • Brother Daniel FC on Colossians 2 - 8 years ago
Isa. 66:17 says, They that sanctify themselves... eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD. 1Tim. 4:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
Comment: the pig and the mouse/rat in the O.T. are the same in the N.T. God never sanctified either of them: They remain unclean and an abomination, unfit to eat.

Man's goings are of the Lords." He declares the beginning to the end.
  • A disciple on Proverbs 14 - 8 years ago
"Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people." If we can look so hard on our unsaved family members, neighbors and coworkers and demand that they are accountable to the Law of God, and His Judgments upon disobedience how do so many then not recognize the beam in their own eye, or the hypocrisy of calling themselves saved Christians, while they are clearly still bound in their sins? "And if we seek to be justified in Christ, we ourselves be found sinful men, whether Christ be minister of sin? God forbid." Galatians 2:17 Wycliffe Bible The LORD God our Saviour says, "Sin no more, that not a worse thing come upon you " yet some still strongly protest, saying, "We all sin every day we can't help but sin " and then misuse the Scriptures to cover their defeated lives. If one breaks a hedge, the serpent will bite! But that doesn't negate the truth of the Glad Tidings, that Christ sets us REALLY free only that that one has fallen into sin! But we have an Almighty and wonderfully merciful Saviour, who is able to save to the uttermost ALL who call upon Him. So if you're having a problem bring it to the Lord in repentance, and BE CONVERTED! that your sins may be blotted out and you shall receive forgiveness and all the fullness of His great and glorious Salvation Victory.
