Tithing we're for the Jews under the mosiac law I'm under liberty and wants every man to give as he purposeth in his own heart. God loveth a cheerful giver. You can't be cheerful if your told you have to tithe!
  • Anthony Wright on Romans 6 - 8 years ago
I just read the social media comments for Roman 6:14, and one sentence stated that, "He who is of born of God does not sin." But in 1John 1:8, if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Can you explain this to me? Because, I am a confirmed believer. And, I sin everyday. Mindful and unmindful.
  • Janine on Romans 6 - 8 years ago
What love Jesus had for all mankind...you and me, our neighbors, friends, and family.....to go to the cross knowing what he would have to endure. No wonder he sweat blood in the garden! Thanks to his mercy and grace, as a repentant sinner, I am not condemned and am NO LONGER ruled by sin. What Grace....Amazing Grace!
  • Yacob on 1 John 1 - 8 years ago
I believe that the Jesus most people worship in America is as Paul stated to the Corinthians "another Jesus." who is in reality a Deist, a racist, a sexist and a leader of the cause against antisemitism. A political and economical strategist. His kingdom is a corpratocracy. He conquerors the world by way of bloodshed. He is indeed an Antichrist, and is greed is his creed.

  • A disciple on Ezekiel 16 - 8 years ago
These cities and these people were real, and the things they did. These things were not written for some obscure and imagined "spiritualizing" but to teach us from what they really did and what is the word of God about them. What is remarkable is that the LORD is going to restore all the ancient peoples to their former estates and make a new covenant with them. His way are higher than our ways!
  • Geraldine cole on Romans 7 - 8 years ago

  • Nomie on Job 3 - 8 years ago
We save a just God, as His creatures He doesn't restrict us from saying what is worrying us. Job is free to say what he is not pleased with, He isn't saying it is well and folding his arms but he cries out and let his feelings known, in all that He didn't sin against God. It is ok to mention what you are not happy about in your life but not murmur against God.
  • John Gibson on Amos 4 - 8 years ago
Just curious, from verse 4, should we be giving tithes every three years or as often as there is a 'harvest'?

  • Randy on 2 John 1 - 8 years ago
Ann:The old covenant forgave sin (Leviticus everywhere). Not only did it forgive sin...but it cleansed the flesh from sin for (get this) a whole year! How come Jesus came and went and we aren't clean for a day??? You know that can't be right. The New Covenant is "Remission" of sin. Jesus really did take away all of our sins...of course He did...literally! He said so. He Promised. Holy to the Lord!

  • Ann Hering on Daniel 9 - 8 years ago
Question for Elijah Luthor! What is the 70 weeks of Daniel 9:24? Is this the 70 years Jerusalem was taken in captivity to Babylon?
  • Ken on 1 Corinthians 11 - 8 years ago
We are to learn of GOD. That means we should, with all our getting...get an understanding. The word or GOD is both old and new testaments. We are to study and rightly divide it. Even with that, there is order. How can we hear without a preacher, how can he preach except he be sent? When you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, it will lead and guide you unto ALL truth! Always follow the word of GOD
  • Pavyoung on 2 Samuel 9 - 8 years ago
There's not a "FRIEND", like Jesus. In our weakest moment, yet are we made strong. All because of the pressure Blood of Jesus Christ that was shed out on Mt. Calvery, on that Old Rugged Cross. Even, before man-kind consider himself to be a "Friend" of His's. This is God's Son Jesus Christ, in whom God is well pleased. To God Be Glory Now and Forever, In Jesus Name We Pray. "AMEN!
  • Mumde on James 1 - 8 years ago
I thank God for this book, a brother in Christ was teaching about temptations last week and asked the congregation where all thought temptations come from. It was sad to note that most of us including myself were not sure up until the teacher read from James 1 vs 13. I learnt that I need to read the Bible as much often as possible so I don't miss salvation because of ignorance
  • Lilian on Romans 6 - 8 years ago

  • Ann - 8 years ago
The day of Christ is mentioned 3 times in the KJV bible, Philippians 1:10 Philippians 2:16 2 Thessalonians 2:2, and the coming of the Lord, James 5:7 - 5:8 2 Thessalonians 2:1. We all should be waiting for the day of Christ, and not the Day of the LORD, both are totally different. Please read 2 Peter 3:10, Amos 5:18, and Amos 5:20, we should not to be hoping or waiting for the Day of the LORD.

  • Graham - 8 years ago
Every one who receives the Holy ghost from the Creator speaks with a tongue(another language of man)paul the apostle received the Holy ghost 5 years after the day of Pentecost. Mary the mother of Jesus our Lord received the Holy ghost also on the day of Pentecost. She is my sister in the Lord awaiting the resurrection.
  • Darrien DeFederico on 2 Timothy 2 - 8 years ago
Cathy Cooper, strive lawfully means to compete according to the rules. Paul here is comparing the Christian walk to a race. If you cheat in a race, you are disqualified. If you sin, cheat others, etc. without repenting you will be disqualified from Heaven.
