I did not write the previous post with the similar name. It looks like someone wants to be an impostor, and misdirect with subtle words! "A stage player." But to give my thoughts on this great portion of scripture; Jesus doesn't send out to proselytize, like the Pharisees; but to announce the Glad Tidings, and preach that men should repent; instructing them to keep all that Jesus has commanded us.

Edna, James 2:21 "Abraham our father justified by works." Galations 3:11 "Not justified by the law." Under the umbrella of Salvation we are justified by works, and justified not by works. I am not disputing against Galations 3:11. I consider the whole counsel of the Lord. Ro.14:22 "Happy is he that condemneth not himself in the things God allows" Allowing men to be justified by works and not.

This Psalm always strengthens my faith by letting me know that whatever is happening at the present in my life that i have nothing to fear because i am only going through it if i keep the faith and continue to obey and trust God. By staying focused on Him and His Word. This psalm let me know that i am/have to walk through, not run,or ride through but walk through whatever is going on.

Jesus instructing his disciples and therefore us as well as to what our priorities should be. Nothing of this world exceeds in importance the mission of faith and belief in the word. It seem that proselytizing is their mission but for many who have not matured in the way, it would be ineffective and subject them to scorn. I remain an anonymous servant of God figuring that a man of faith is...

Jeff Berry if that's what you want to believe then that's your way. I don't know much about what science says nor so called Christians or Jews and my Exhaustive Strong's Concordance is before 1970 and I notice the new Strong's is like reading a NIV Bible both should be used for a camp fire. I look up words and Foundation in the N.T. Translated, oh, check it out. Supprise yourself

Disciple:Please read 2 Samuel 12:10 "Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.11 I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel"
  • Peter A. Okebukola on 2 Samuel 16 - 9 years ago
What a hard time for David. It is prophesy fulfilled: 2 Samuel 12: 11 Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun. 12 For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.

Joseph called himself Lord of Egypt, lord of the land. Is he calling himself God? Lord is a term for a man not a deity. Lord can be a king or rich landowner or a husband or a respected teacher. Lord means a ruler, of people, wealth, land or knowledge it does not equal all the power of God.

Matthew 27 is;( Christ was tried, crucified, buried, V.66 they sealed the entrance of his tomb.)v.52."And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept, arose, v.53"and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the city and appeared to many."There were saints/dead before the birth of Christ. It does not say 52-53 is a glimpse into the future.Read V.54

You should trust in the name of the Lord because there is power in the name of the Lord which can break every chain,we should entrust our lifes in his hand also to know that the wicked shall be turned into hell .above all trusting him makes life more easy for us .

  • Saint on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 9 years ago
Verse 17 and 18 in this passage reminds us that one day Christ is coming again, and bringing the saved with him. We need to keep serving our Lord until he comes to bring us home.
  • Lu2677 - 9 years ago
Jesus celebrated Passover. If one is so inclined to celebrate Passover, the way Christ did, as far as food,as long as you do not declare that God commands certain recipes to be followed (new covenant) And if all those that eat with you are allowed to make the food choice, without offending anyone. Do not offend a brother concerning meat. I celebrate "The days of Purin" Book of Esther.
  • Bob Stone on Ezekiel 28 - 9 years ago
I believe he is talking about the Devil (Satin) when he refers to the King of Tyra's. Reference is made to him having been in the Garden of Eden and that he was highly respected in heaven until the Lord found his iniquity (Pride). This may having some reference to the tribulation. I am interested in what other people think. This needs to be read with Isaiah 14.
  • Jeff Berry on Genesis 2 - 9 years ago
Word; the first 3 words in the Bible are foundational. Christians and Jews have traditionally, overwhelmingly translated this to mean the absolute beginning. Again, you are trying to make the Bible fit man's science. If Science says that the earth existed before the six days of creation then the science is wrong. Trust the Word of God not man's science. Blessings!
  • A disciple on Matthew 27 - 9 years ago
Hi Jacqueline; I think that this was a special sign done for showing the people of Jerusalem what they were not willing to believe in; and of that which will happen in Israel and all over the world when Jesus is revealed at His coming in glory and power. The Saints who sleep shall be the first to arise, and then we who still live and remain till His coming; "and we shall be changed, IN A MOMENT."
  • A disciple on 1 Samuel 24 - 9 years ago
April; I like that! Well said! Also, in the context of how the Law reads, "eye for eye.." teaches us the fact that NOTHING is forgotten, overlooked or made light of by God. God made man in His own image, and what is done to that image is done to Him. In David's conscience toward God, he could never justify putting his hands on the LORD's Anointed, even when he was cruelly wronged without a cause.
  • Edna on Galatians 1 - 9 years ago

Psalms 51:6"Behold,thou desirest truth in the inward parts:and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom."(The Psalmist knows that the Lord expects him to know His truth, he will give him wisdom.) Ps.119:11"Thy word I have hid in my heart, that I might not sin against him." (A heart filled with his word, is pure and obeys his statutes,A filled heart will be revealed;how one lives, speech
  • A disciple on Revelation 8 - 9 years ago
Genesis 12:3; The covenant of God with Abraham is ours too when we walk in the same steps of our father Abraham. It is absolutely on account of us, and how the world and individuals think and believe and act toward us, that God either blesses them, or detests them. It is on account of our friendship and obedience and prayers, that the angels are sent forth to punish the world for their wickedness.
  • A disciple on 2 Samuel 15 - 9 years ago
Peter; Are we supposed to think then, that when we truly repent and change, when we are really converted, and God says He forgives us and has taken away our sins and makes us new creations in Christ; that He doesn't really forgive, and He still punishes? What about the responsibility of the actual doers of the evil, i.e. his sons? Is it all on David because they are ungodly, and practice sin?
