correction - people were 'advancing' .....
  • Irene123 on Genesis 11 - 9 years ago
" ..... people were too fast .... "; honestly! don't you know God is - omnipotent and omniscient? God CONTROLS the population; it does NOT get out of His control. My God (Jesus) is somewhat bigger and more powerful and smarter than other's 'gods' on here.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 9 - 9 years ago
I do not understand v. 22 - nor do I have any tho'ts on it. But - I do know you cannot later read Lev. 20:11 and 'see' that this incest is the answer. One scripture has nothing to do with the other; there is no corroborating scripture to connect the two.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 3 - 9 years ago
" ... it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel". The first "it" is Jesus, on the cross, sin (satan) put Him there. When Jesus said, "It is finished" and DIED - then Jesus bruised satan's head. Jesus then had the power to enter hell and get the KEYS. He then could give those keys to Peter (spiritually) when Peter preached Acts 2:38, the 3 keys to salvation.

our own dark hearts originate with original sin. before the 'fall' and the origin of sin - Adam 'n Eve had pure 'light' hearts; they knew no sin.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 2 - 9 years ago
The Middle East wars; yes, they are because of original sin. Because " ..... wars and fightings among you ..... "? grow out of - sin. Any bad thing (lying, stealing, fornication, wars, etc.) originate with original sin.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
    B. Matute - Hi, Brian; hope this finds you well. Since Jesus was with God, separately, yet one with Him - why doesn't God's word record any 'conversation' between father 'n son about creation of man ..... ? Surely Jesus said at least 'yes' or 'no' ..... ? As equals He would have had some input ..... ? Nowhere do I see 'Jesus' responding to - anything ..... ?
  • Irene123 on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
"In the beginning - God ..... "; Before God instituted day and night - there was no 'time'; no 'million yrs.' before He created anything; there was NO time.
  • Vicki on Matthew 28 - 9 years ago
This whole concept of the Trinity is new and foreign to me. In Matt. 28 where it says two times that the disciples "worshiped" the resurrected Jesus. I was taught from scripture there is "only one God". I do believe Jesus is God's only-begotten son. That he lived and died for our sins. I also believe there is only one way to God through Jesus Christ. I also now believe Jesus is reigning in Heaven
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
Sorry; I hit the '2' instead of the '1' for Cor.
  • Irene123 on 1 Corinthians 11 - 9 years ago
Stephen 2 Cor. 11:29 - did you know that the trinity was begun only in 325 a.d. ..... ? and that the church of Jesus began in circa 33 a.d. ..... ? and that the very FIRST message preached in Jesus church advocated the NAME of JESUS in water baptism, and that if you truly READ it, slowly - you will see Matt. 28:19 says the same thing? " ... baptizing them in the NAME of ..... "
  • BSP on 2 Timothy 2 - 9 years ago
God knows those who truly belong to him. If we want to belong to God we must renounce unrighteousness and strive to do what is right in God's eyes.
  • Irene123 on Psalms 31 - 9 years ago
Anand - " ..... plentifully rewrd the proud doer." - the PROUD doer, pride is a sin, pride in what YOU have done, because that is not giving glory to God. The 'reward' for pride is judgment from God.
  • Jan on 2 Timothy 2 - 9 years ago
Yes I agree that we must depart from iniquity and all wrong doing..As human beings we are weak and we fall but with Gods help we get back up to serve Him..If we are in close relationship with Jesus then we surrender ourselves daily to be changed and used by God..If we could change ourselves we wouldn't need a savior but we can't so we need to know He loves us and wants to prepare us for His return!
  • MasterProhet on Proverbs 13 - 9 years ago
The Lord can be delighted in , we can delight ourselves in the Lord. We know that obedience is better than sacrifice.
  • Sharon on 2 Timothy 2 - 9 years ago
God is good love one another .no matter what they do
  • Pat on Zechariah 11 - 9 years ago
I believed that the scripture denotes the sell of the church today for even less than thirty pieces of silver. the body of Christ is being sold off for the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life, which is not of the Father but of the world. The lust of the world is invading the body of Christ like a wild fire. Both " union and favor " are given to the uncircumcised.
  • Sadie on Psalms 13 - 9 years ago
Verse 5 states "my heart SHALL rejoice in thy salvation". David chose to focus on the Father's goodness toward him and to trust Him in the midst of his circumstances.

Verse 6 He choses to sing in thanksgiving for what the Father has already done for him. Our focus and praise must always remain, regardless of how things may appear.
  • Sharlet on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
Psalm 91 ...Is an Anointed Covering over all Believers who Trust and have Faith in God,The All Mighty. His word is our shield and buckler and will do just what He says it will do. I Thank God for His Holy words of comfort and protection. I Praise His Holy name!
  • Ruby francis on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
I believe this is the best protection Psalm to all believers in JESUS CHRIST. I TRUST AND BELIEVE FULLY IN THE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST. BE BLESSED
  • Irene123 on Acts 4 - 9 years ago
Vs. 1-3; Reading this and thinking about it - it's fantastic to think of being jailed for preaching the Word. But, it will happen again; the banning of religion in schools, public bldgs. - not just gov't bldgs., is just the start of worse to come, BUT - our Lord Jesus is wa-a-ay ahead of the opposition. It's too bad the opposition doesn't know this.
  • Kais on Galatians 1 - 9 years ago
O Holy Jesus, preserve us from being servants of man. For we were bought with a price, with your precious blood. We shall not be the servants of man but of God. We shall sanctify You, Holy Father in our hearts. You are our fear and You are our dread. Fear of man will prove to be a snare but he who trusts in the Lord is kept save. We shall have in mind the concerns of God and not merely human concerns.
  • A disciple on John 10 - 9 years ago
Suzanne, ( John 10:34-36); in this part, the Jews were scandalized by the irrefutable fact before their eyes, that God was come to them in the flesh; and were completely hardened to all Jesus' wonderful works of power, and the unsearchable wisdom of His words; all which, ONLY GOD COULD DO! As to us being called gods, who have the Word of God in us; How else should we describe those in God's image?
  • A disciple on Exodus 21 - 9 years ago
To Randy. The Law was given for Israel to be a sign for guidance to the Nations, to lead them away from their heathen ways and idols, to come to know the true God, and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. There is nowhere ANY people, in ANY time, who has a Law so holy and just! Everything written was for our instruction, to love the LORD and believe in His Son Jesus the Anointed unto eternal life.
  • Mathew Dalyop on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago

  • Peter A. Okebukola on Numbers 22 - 9 years ago
God works in wondrous ways. He uses humans as well as animals to achieve His purpose. If we are stubbornly heading for destruction, God has a way of shoving us back on track for the reason of His love for us as He did for Balaam.
  • Anand on Psalms 31 - 9 years ago
What is the meaning of the last verse? - "plentifully rewardeth the proud doer" O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
  • Thomas 77 on Acts 4 - 9 years ago
77 Jesus said: I am the light that is above them all. I am the all the all came forth from me, and the all attained to me. Cleave a piece of wood I am there. Raise up a stone, and you will find me there.
  • Billy bissette on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
thank God for his protection everyday
  • Stephen on 1 Corinthians 11 - 9 years ago
    Veni, Sancte Spiritus.
Before scripture, in scripture, and ever since Scripture, it is "the Lord's body" (Cor 11:29).
"..as we have been taught, the food which has been made into the Eucharist by the Eucharistic prayer set down by Him, and by the change of which our blood and flesh is nurtured, is both the flesh and the blood of that incarnated Jesus" -St. Justin Martyr (AD 151)
