We should know that the blessings promised in Psalms 121, are ours.
  • Kevin on Acts 4 - 9 years ago
I believe it to mean that one shouldn't worship false gods no matter what their names are. We can only be saved through Jesus, not Allah, Mohammed, etc.
  • Gloria on Genesis 3 - 9 years ago
I know that Jesus, is our redemption, our savior, remission for our sins. On verse 16. Is that to do with child birth pain? If so why do we women still go through great sorrow during labor?
    Am I misunderstanding?

Rhonda got a good start on the 'ONENESS' - Isa. $3:10; here's more - v. 11; 44:6, 8: 45:6, 14 18, 21, 22; 46: 5,9; 47:10; 48:11,12; Jn. 20:28 - "My LORD and my GOD". Thomas a Jew said this to Jesus - a Jew; and Jesus didn't rebuke him for calling Him - GOD. Being a Jew, Thomas wouldn't have had he not known Jesus was God in the flesh.

  • Rhonda Dotson on Acts 4 - 9 years ago
Neither is there salvation in any other, saith the word. We know that there is only one savior; that is Jesus. It says in Isaiah 43 that there is none beside him..
  • A disciple on John 1 - 9 years ago
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." What the coming of Jesus means to me, is the comfort of forgiveness and acceptance from God, and that He wishes for me to become all that He had in mind when He created me.
  • Ben on Acts 4 - 9 years ago
This reminds me of Matthew 1:21, how Christ saves us from our sins. Truly an inspirational word, knowing that we have the Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation. No one goes to the Father but by him!!! Thank you God for our Lord Jesus Christ who died for us!

Galatians 6:7 state that Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth , that shall he also reap.
  • Mr. Smith on Proverbs 12 - 9 years ago
What "land" is vs 11 speaking of, but the land of our own human imagination. We must "till" it (ie. plow to prepare for harvesting crops) to bring forth our righteous desires. Matthew says a good man our of the good treasure of the heart (our imagination) brings forth good things. We till our land by imagining that we've already go that which we desire. Meditating over and over again on the Word
  • MockingBird on Acts 4 - 9 years ago
By the wonderful name of Jesus we are saved . Jesus !! Jesus !! All things are possible to those that believe. The name of a certain Dr. that you go to cannot save you . He can help you on your way to recovery : but he cannot save you ! Jesus !! That wonderful name !!

10 nation haven't made an agreement where one pulls out causing a deadly wound that brings Satan who is kicked out of heaven to earth that joins the 10 back together. Satan as antichrist instead of Christ has not stood in Jerusalem claiming to be God yet and that won't happen until he, Satan comes in peace shows off his supernatural powers and the world will chase after him worshipping him. WAIT.

  • Irene123 on Exodus 21 - 9 years ago
quote " ..... this is the word law of man in the Bible, not God's actual words ..... " unquote; so Randy, where does one STOP with this 'not God' idea ..... ? There must be LOTS more of the Bible that isn't His word; just what parts are they?
  • BSP on 2 Peter 2 - 9 years ago
The Genesis account shows that Jehovah God specifically commanded Noah to build the ark but we read of no command for him to preach. Noah was a man of principle and he did not need a command in order to be a "preacher of righteousness" as verse 5 refers to him.
  • Irene123 on Exodus 20 - 9 years ago
The 'sabbath' has been researched - by Jesus Himself, no less - Mk. 2:27.
  • BSP on 1 Timothy 3 - 9 years ago
The way a Christian man cares for his family must be considered in determining whether he qualifies to assume the heavier responsibility of sherpherding the congregation as verses 4 and 5 show.
  • Shawn Hunter on Hebrews 10 - 9 years ago
I fear The Most High as well as Christ our Salvation! I am far from perfect but I do my best not to sin if I should fall short, I seek repentance. And when I see the opportunity to help another, I offer assistance to those who need it. I'm definitely changed since I turned to Christ. But it's not always so easy when the enemy speaks out and tempts us. The Holy Spirit convicts me to do good.
  • Shirley on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
Psalm 91 is my everyday protection.
  • BSP on Leviticus 17 - 9 years ago
Verse 11 shows that the life of the flesh is in he blood. Blood itself is not alive but we need it to be alive.
  • Irene123 on Exodus 11 - 9 years ago
Ian - Words in the O.T. original Hebrew language have different meanings from what we have for them. 'Borrow' in Hebrew did not mean - to pay back. Before you admonish me about this - research it for yourself. God does not mean for us to give back to sin; we are to leave it - period. Nor were the gold, etc. to 'wear', but to cover the ark and other tabernacle appurtenances.
  • Lilian on Hebrews 12 - 9 years ago

  • Irene123 on Ecclesiastes 12 - 9 years ago
    V. 13 - It is so simple, easy to live for God. We make it hard in our minds before coming to Him ( Acts 2:38) by looking at the worldly 'things' we have to give up; immodest dress, jewelry, make-up, tobacco, alcohol, cursing, our party wk'ends ( Heb. 10:25). None, NONE of this goes with us after death; it's all vanity. Matt. 6:23 - Seek ye first .....
