Kat, that meaning of virtue is referring to Holy Ghost power Lk. 8:46. In this chapter virtue is referring to goodness, right standards, moral excellence etc. Hope that helps! Glory be to God in the highest!
  • A disciple on Genesis 8 - 8 years ago
Servant of God; Interestingly, as you point out; (in the world of the beginning as well as the Israelites in the wilderness); it was because of defiant unbelief, apostasy, love of the world and despising the things of the Spirit and faith of Christ, that God saw no more reason to extend the time indefinitely. The salt had lost its savor and everything rotted; and those once saved after perished!
  • A disciple on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
Amen Sister; "The GREATEST of these is LOVE!" By this shall men know that Jesus has come, "BY OUR LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER." All the gifts and talents and abilities are from God, and given for ALL to benefit from, and not for envying one another; but even then, none of it means a thing, and will have no good result to minister Spirit and Life, if we don't have love! We have a new day TODAY to LOVE!
  • A disciple on Joel 2 - 8 years ago
Yes Norma; And not only all our wasted years, but all the wasted world because of sin over sin over sin, for all the centuries and generations of the ruin because of the heathen's rage against God and His Anointed. In the Prophets it is said, that we are going to rebuild the old waste places; all the cities and Nations that the "locusts" have devoured, in the Kingdom of God to come. Isaiah 58:12
  • A disciple on 1 Corinthians 12 - 8 years ago
Alex; Where do you get such unscriptural strange ideas? The Holy Ghost (notice carefully I don't abbreviate!) is the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ which is given into our hearts as an earnest or token of the Promise of our inheritance in the world to come; and for sanctifying and teaching us; and for using us to convict and teach the world about Christ. NOT TO REPLACE JEWS OR CHRISTIANS!
  • A disciple on 1 Timothy 4 - 8 years ago
"Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;" And as we read on through this chapter we read just exactly WHAT those seducing spirits and devils' doctrines are: unrestrained sex, diets, sports and exercise; all for worship of the body! But mention the Lord with one of them and stone silence!

  • A disciple on Deuteronomy 31 - 8 years ago
Hi Anthony; Jesus said in Matthew 5:17, after describing that Blessed character of His elect (3-12; how we are His appointed light of the world and the salt of the earth); that we should not suppose or think that He came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; but to completely make full. We are the objects of His grace in order to show the world the workings of the Law by His Spirit in us. Rom. 3:31
  • Elizabeth on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
It is a vision of the begining. A new day has arose. Therefore let us go forth prayerful and full of mercy.Shewing God love upon each other.
  • Servant of God on Genesis 8 - 8 years ago
Because God look and saw that man(kind) was continually evil all the time He decided to kill every living thing. This he did but saved 8, Noah and his family. God threatened the same time in Exodus but repented thanks to Moses. Here in our day I see the same thing, only evil and bewilderment, confusion. Preachers preaching the doctrine of man instead of the Word of God, as God spoke it.
  • J R Davis on Judges 16 - 8 years ago
When you come right down to it, Samson PUSHED! We need to Push, push in prayer, fasting, loving, stewardship, witnessing, church attendance, fight that devil with all we got, just PUSH!
  • Obbie Beal on Revelation 20 - 8 years ago

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were BEHEADED for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which HAD NOT worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and THEY lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. ...WOW! Simple Fi / Always Faithful!
  • Anthony on Deuteronomy 31 - 8 years ago
hello , I would like others thoughts on the following. " there is two basic types of laws , the ceremonial law ( vs 26 above) and there is the moral law (ten commandments) . Jesus came and made the ceremonial law void or fulfilled the law (the veil was rent) but we as Christians are not exempt from the moral law (ten commandments)
  • Rob Lee on Job 1 - 8 years ago
Thea, Yes, it did say Asia, however, it's not the Asia that we know today. Asia in the days of ancient scripture was from Turkey (Asia minor) to the top of Mesopotamia and what we call the Baltic region today. It was not Modern Asia, so you will know the truth.
  • A disciple on Ecclesiastes 1 - 8 years ago
"There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after." When the king sent to call all those who had been invited to come to his son's wedding, and all made excuses why they couldn't come; when the king heard he was furious, and commanded that they were not worthy who had refused; but not the whole Nation.
  • Denise on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
    Awesome thank you Jesus
  • A disciple on Leviticus 18 - 8 years ago
"After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances. Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God." We are salted with fire to rebuke the unclean doings and ordinances of the world's lust for nudity.
  • Christ Magnified Glorifying Jesus on 2 Kings 9 - 8 years ago
Sobering sad story. God is so patient with me and others and always has been. Sin will ultimately lead to violence. Humankind is not as merciful as God and our flesh tendency is to always seek first immediate retribution whereas God gave Jezebel many years but the way she died is even more notorious than her life. A death fitting for a wicked wicked queen.
  • Mr. Anderson on Ecclesiasticus 2 - 8 years ago
A person claims the book of Ecclesiasticus does not line up with remainder of bible because " This book claims that giving alms justifies a man. We know that only JESUS CHRIST justifies!" Now the Words of God will not be fully understood if its not read in the Spirit of God. The justification in the giving of alms lies in the heart of man. Mark 12: 43,44. Proverbs 3: 5,9. Proverbs 14: 30.
  • Harold Junior Cranford on John 14 - 8 years ago
"...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me. . ." tells me that the ONLY way to salvation is clearly presented in these eighteen (18) words. You have a simple choice - YOUR choice - to believe or not to believe! Read 2 Cor. 5:17.
  • P. Bowers 3 on Micah 7 - 8 years ago
God spoke to me as I read this. He impressed upon me to Not take Matters into my Own Hands. To Wait Upon Him in ALL Matters! I need to Settle Down, Let God Handle my Circumstances at this Junction of my Life!! Thank You, Lord for Not giving Up on me. Help Me, Lord in ALL Ways!! Blessed Sabbath to All Around the World!!
  • Sammy on 1 John 3 - 8 years ago
This is the only law that is left for us to fulfil. BELIEVE IN THE NAME OF MY SON(JESUS). That single sacrifice on the Cross is enough, in it we were justified freely.
