Jessi (cont.); If we look carefully at the parts in Isaiah and Ezekiel alongside just exactly how the Lord Himself described "the rebellion" in heaven; first of all its too hard to force the theory that Lucifer was originally on the earth, when it says that there was "war in heaven." Also the so called evidence of the petrified dinosaurs and the precious stones "dug under" isn't satisfying enough.

Jessi; I too have heard this rather obscure interpretation, and did give it some credence for a time; until it was better revealed. Some have taken potions from Isaiah and Ezekiel, and come up with the idea, that because of Satan's rebellion the earth was turned inside out; hence the [supposed] meaning of "[became] void, and darkness on the face of the deep." I've since changed my mind about that.

Chapter 5 goes with chapter 6, in 5:11 to 6:6 writing to the believers (the saved) but these people they have backslidden so far into sin (there old ways) they don't even know they are saved. They are saved because they kept by the power of God. Once saved, saved forever God keeps his promise, even though man forgets and brings Christ to a open shame.

Hi Ann; You have sure got that right! But you know? Birds of a feather flock together! How is it that some of us can feel it immediately and are totally convicted to Run for our lives whenever we get around those kinds? while others don't seem to care a thing for ANYTHING that you're talking about! Sue; When God commands all men everywhere to repent and believe the Glad Tidings of our salvation through His Son Jesus Christ; the expectation in the command is to acknowledge the truth unto conversion and reconciliation. Jesus said, "Now are you CLEAN through the word that I have spoken unto you." If you have repented and are sincere, you are washed and clean and given a new life freed from sin!

In verse 2:21 we find the shedding of blood and adam put under for his bride, which is a picture of Jesus Christ shedding his blood and dying for his bride which is the church.

In verse 3:21 we find the shedding of blood for the covering of sin. (coats of skins) I believe God sacrificed a lamb here. (a picture of the coming Christ the Lamb of God)

Eve wasn't created yet when God told Adam about the tree of good and evil, the devil went for eve instead of adam.

The sacrifice offering has to be the Lords way. Abel believed the Lord and did it the Lords way. Cain believed not and did it Cains way.

The reason God excepted Abel sacrifice over Cain was because Abel put God first. He tells us even in his ten commandments he should always be put first. He gave him his firstlings. The Word tells us that Cain was the son of Satan. We ourselves must chose good over evil(sin).

I believe when the Word referred to rib it was speaking of RNA. Man and woman become as one by combining chromosomes and a child is born as it says man will leave his parents to do. Also, Satan has many names as revelation says. Far as the Sabbath goes Hebrews tells us the Sabbath can be any day of the week once Christ was resurrected.

Void means it was once useable but then became of no use which means a new beginning for the Earth. So, this is a story of a new beginning from a previous Earth.

Paul speaks of this event then Chp5:9 says God hath not appointed us to wrath.Rev.6:16 says they will say to the rocks hide us from the wrath of the Lamb. this wrath is not for us.Jesus said to the church Rev3:10 I will keep thee from that hour of temptation that cometh upon the whole world to try them.We are not of this world.John15:9.Jesus will take us out of this world before His wrath.

That s not john 3;16 it goes For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that who soever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life

He did the will of his father for us died for us Christ redeemed us back to our fathers love God

To Irene 123: Hi Irene, Good to meet you again. Worshiping God every day of the week is not only OK, it is desirable. But missing your special appointment with God on Saturday Sabbath, My holy day, as He calls it, is not OK. Isa. 58:13. I can tell you for sure; God never changed His Sabbath, from the Creation: But, people did, and that’s not right. Jesus observed His Sabbath: Let's follow Him!

God is always watching those whose trust is in Him, to defend and protect them.

Dear Timothy; the Lord is fanning His threshing floor to drive out the chaff and show the wheat. Also in Psalm 92 it says that the "springing of the wicked" was a sign of their imminent and eternal destruction. All these things coming to pass, yet they will not know, and will not repent! But the wise shall know, and prepare their hearts and their ways, as those who are about to stand before Him.

Peter; Ezra was a GREAT example of a man of God in a position of authority: a priest, a scribe, and one firmly founded in a virtuous way of life. The people too were a GREAT example of what is commonly found with "people." As long as they can rely on someone leading, they will follow, to a point! But then when they have to really be so on their own, its much harder to find real and lasting purity.

Paul; clearly the Lord here is talking about repentance and forgiveness, and having the wisdom to be prepared to meet our Maker! It only distracts from the intended point to try to find hidden meanings in things like whether this is referring to Purgatory. A good rule for understanding the Scriptures is to read them with respect to the whole context of what was written and apply that to ourselves.

A person can b corrupt an sin but believe the word with all their heart. Are they still born of the spirit? As no one but Jesus was without sin

To have what you need and take satisfaction in your work and achievements is of God. Striving to have more than everyone else is totally unnecessary and vain.

Dewey J; We shouldn't be overly sensitive: no offense taken, Brother. With the things that we see (and can hardly believe) happening and increasing, we have volumes of warning and instruction and guidance in the Scriptures to prepare us mentally and spiritually for the opposition we are set to encounter. We should know that the transgressors coming to the full is God's determined judgment of them.

Not all who are teaching or preaching and not all who prophecy, are called to do so by God.
I do believe whomever God calls to do his work, He will be provided for.
A lot of these pastors are taxing their congregation to meet personal needs and the needs of the church building. They are not helping the orphan, the captive, the widow, the fatherless, etc.
