We may not come to God in the Name of JESUS, while in our hearts and minds; "full of the twists and defenses" of seeking to portray ourselves for something other than what we ARE REALLY; no man may presume to waltz into the Holy of Holies to take the Blessings of Peace unworthily; there are conditions!

Psalms 20 gives hope and assurance that God is a God who keeps his promises. Once you trust him he will come through for you. When I read the verses this morning it gave me a settled peace and a renewed assurance that God will never leave me and he will defend me because he favours me.

The words of God is a light unto my feet and a lamp to path. Growing up in Christian home and now with the age of reason and better understanding I now wished that I had never strayed from one word of the bible. As age brings reason; I thank God for giving us Jesus.

Paul reminds us in this chapter that we must be filled with the Holy Spirit to be able to discern things of this world. God's promises for us if we keep His commandments are also contained in "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." Let us love the Lord with all our heart and it shall be well with us.

Josiah did well but at the end did not listen to the Word of God through Necho. He was mortally wounded in the battle and later died in Jerusalem. We must keep listening to and obeying the words of God.

Between the things in this part of the letter about becoming sluggish and letting slip away even the fundamental beginnings of a saved life in Christ; in ch. 10:32-33 implies that their 'falling away' was likely due to being no longer willing to be persecuted for Jesus' sake (just like you wrote) which will happen just as soon as we lose sight of our First Love.

In the last days both believers and non-believer will be given in to itching ears. A bowl will be poured out a bowl of delusion were good is evil and evil is good. Look at all the things that are an abomination to God word that is happening. Look at how man is protecting and defending the evilness. His wraith will be like Sodom and Gomorra. We will destroy ourselves from within.

The verse that always reaches out and grabs me is Verde 6 I removed the burden from his shoulder and delivered his hands from the pots. I'm always trying to hard and working so much and never feel like I make enough to rest and the debt I have and owe is such a heavy burden. I'm always praying for God to supernaturally just deliver me from it and and free my hands so that I can just rest.

Disciple, I think I understand now. I did not intend to offend you or disrespect Peter. But I don't think we are going to agree on this one. Hi Peter; I love the story of Josiah! He was not appreciated and his countrymen were not worthy of such a wonderful man of God to be their king; but God set him up nonetheless. Like when David was king; what was in his heart was not necessarily what was in the hearts of the people: for they quickly and readily took the opportunity to conspire to evil as soon as they could without fear and defiant!

Hi Jenna; I think you might be referring to the Day of the LORD, the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and great glory: "The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars shall fall from the heavens, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken." That's a lot different than an eclipse! Is that what you were thinking about? The Lord bless you, Sister.

Moses asked the LORD if he could see His glory. David panted and thirsted for the Living God, longing for the day he could come and appear before God. Paul felt that as long as he is here; though it would be a good thing for the building up and confirming of the Saints; he was "away from home" being still here on earth. These things are Spirit inspired understanding of the eternal and the true.

Whether we are discussing points of doctrine, or meanings of words; or if we run into disagreements or false teachings; it causes us to sharpen our understanding and skill in the Word of God; and thereby examining and confirming ourselves and each other, growing in grace and the knowledge of Jesus.

Sissy; you were right with your first reaction to this thought. Your Pastor wasn't exactly teaching it right! We are NOT automatically forgiven everything because we're now "saved." How is that fair for those who don't know the Lord, if they would be judged more harshly than us who do? Read the Lord's messages to the Churches in Revelation 2-3; if those that sin don't repent they will perish!

Dear Walter; That Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, means that He came into the world by being born of a woman. The difference between Him and everyone else whose ever been born, is that He existed forever before that in heaven as God, and He didn't have an earthly father like we do; but was miraculously conceived in the womb by the Holy Spirit. In Genesis 3:15 God declared why Christ would come.

Daniel; You are too hasty in your speech and sadly lacking in understanding and respect for things much higher than you! Are you so likewise endowed with a calling and wisdom and knowledge by revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ? And are you likewise travelling through foreign Countries risking your life to preach the Glad Tidings under constant persecution, slander, and betrayals? Why scrutinize?

Dear Jeff; I read again several times our little back and forth, and its simply about comparing Peter to Judas Iscariot. You said that they were going down the same path; I said that they were not at all, but completely different kind of men with completely different kind of hearts and characters. It is very important to know the differences for our business of saving with fear or with compassion.

The Jewish believers addressed in Hebrews were going through persecution and thus wanted to limit the Superiority of the Lord Jesus Christ comparing him to Moses who they honored as a prophet. They were missing the point that Jesus was not simply a prophet of God, but very God himself, it was appointed by God not only to live for Him but to suffer with Him proving true salvation through longevity

Donna, God is more concerned with the Spirit in which we offer our sacrifice than he is with the sacrifice itself. God knew Cain’s heart and that he really didn’t want to give his best. Note that it says, “respect unto Abel and to his offering” and then later “But unto Cain and to his offering”. So, the respect was first unto the man and 2nd unto the offering.

I am not afraid to die, but I will be ashame to die, if I don't win just one soul for my Lord. This scripture lets me know that I have to plant seeds and allow Jesus to do the increase. The world so desperately needs the blood of Christ, he is the only answer.

I AM SO GRATEFUL THAT JESUS KEEPS IT REAL FOR US BELIEVERS! HE NEVER SUGAR COATED HIS MESSAGE TO APPEASE PEOPLE! HE NEVER TOLD US THAT LIVING IN THIS WORLD WOULD BE EASY CAUSE OF ALL THE TROUBLE IN THE WORLD CAUSE OF SIN! BUT HE DID PROMISES US PEACE IF WE REMAIN IN HIM!
