I memorized Psalm 100 when I was a little girl. It has been in my heart for a long time. I believe God helped me as a child to memorize every word. I had a rough childhood with two acoholic parents. It would hurry running home at lunch time to find my mother drunk. I'd stay home to take care of her to be sure she didn't leave the house get hurt or arrested again. God gave me Psalm 100

In this chapter she 'seduced the all the leaders' of every country (greed, lust of the eye, lust of the flesh, pride...) and 'the people joined the party with their leader's' ungodly actions. Now it is time for everyone to give an account of his or her action. WOW ! Thank God for for the Saving Power through the Blood of Jesus Christ. WOW!

In verse 8, Apostle Paul's modesty leaves much to be desired: - ... he that wrought wrought EFFECTUALLY in Peter - versus -the same was MIGHTY in me. - I guess Ap. Paul doesn't know about the Day of Pentecost nor about the thousands that accepted Christ as the result of Ap. Peter's preaching. See Acts Ch. 2. Three thousand people turned to Jesus: Now, that's MIGHTY.

If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life... Rev. 22:18,19

R4Love; The Bible says that there are three Divine Persons in heaven; the Father the Word and the Holy Spirit. Jesus said many times that He and the Father are one and that He is "I AM" and that He does everything He sees the Father do; even raising the dead. When God said, "Let us make man in our image," I AM was pronouncing our very coming into being; and so we were made entirely by God's Words.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on 1 Corinthians 1 - 8 years ago
Eternal truths- For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. That no flesh should glory in his presence. We must learn to give ALL the glory to God. He is ever worthy of our praise. No man on earth must give glory to himself.

"For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told." Moses lived to be 120 years old. Abraham lived to 175. Some from the world of the beginning lived over 900 years. But while many stumble at the idea that God is able to let a man live for so long; what about all the long years of trouble and sorrow, toil and sweat, as it were banished far away from God?

Josiah sought the Words of God and hearkened onto it. The prophetess conveyed God's punishment for idolatry of the Israelites. Josiah summoned his people and pledged obedience to God's laws. They repented and God showed mercy. We serve a merciful God. All we need do is obey His commandments and when we transgress, seek His forgiveness. He is ever ready to forgive.

Hi Ricky; You just said it perfectly! What about the thief on the cross? He knew that his own punishment was just, but that Jesus had done nothing wrong. He believed that Jesus was the Saviour and the King regardless of what evil men had done to Him. He asked the Lord to remember him when He comes into His kingdom. Faith and asking for mercy was all he had; and so the Lord received him completely!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ; We are the blessed generation that shall be here unto the end, and we will see His coming in power and great glory! How all these things that are happening just now will finally play out the Lord only knows; but He has said that it has much to do with our being His Elect signs and wonders and witnesses to this time. Know that you are loved! Pray for each other!

AMEN Addo, Ana, Barbara, Daniel, Geraldine, Lady A, Love for Truth! Ya know when I was just newly saved and started reading in the long chapters with the genealogies and lists of names I could sometimes hardly pronounce; I didn't realize that each one of those names was a life, and a person, and that it was a small section of the Lamb's Book of Life. We are each one of us precious to the LORD!
  • Sissy on Psalms 50 - 8 years ago
Hi I want to tell you that God is not displeased with you if you are saved. All of your sins past, present and future are forgiven. I had a hard time accepting that when my pastor first started preaching on grace. None of your sins are imputed to you anymore. We should all allow the Holy Spirit to renew our minds, so that our actions will follow. But we are already the righteous.

  • A disciple on John 19 - 8 years ago
Jeff (cont. 3); Lastly Brother, I think it is very important to understand things of this nature, as they have so much to do with not only our own walking in truth but how we should discern and be able to judge rightly among each other, and teach new Believers. Not everyone has a deceitful and desperately wicked heart! But many take Scriptures like that and throw it on everyone without discretion.
  • A disciple - 8 years ago
Jeff (cont. 2); Did the Lord ever say to Judas, "...But when you are converted, strengthen your brethren?" No! He only spoke of him being about to betray Him. Was Peter a thief? Did Peter stir up everyone at the dinner table to murmur against Mary, when she anointed the Lord? Did Peter ever run to the Jews in a sulk to offer his services to destroy the Lord? Judas wasn't acting out of a panic!
  • A disciple - 8 years ago
Jeff (cont.); for some of us who know first-hand the Lord's great willingness to forgive and receive a sinner, we can sure identify with Peter (for example) and have compassion for each other if anyone gets in similar trouble. So it must be apparent to you that there was a tremendous difference between Peter and the other disciples, and Judas; who let Satan into his heart and betrayed the Lord!

  • A disciple on John 19 - 8 years ago
Jeff; for what cause is this contention? Did Judas Iscariot ever get engaged in his calling like Peter did? Was Judas named the first of all the Apostles? What time Peter spoke ill advised, was out of love for Jesus, but not understanding the meaning of the cross. How can you compare those two men? Judas fell away in his heart after covetousness, became a thief, and stirred up murmuring and evil.
