I think Proverbs 16:18 Tells us that we need to be humble in our thinking of our self's because when we get to thinking we are better then we really are we are going to fall because God hates arrogant spirit that people develop.
  • Richard on Ezekiel 3 - 9 years ago
God filled Ezekiel with his words...words of hope and truth.
  • Cynthia on 1 Kings 11 - 9 years ago
We had best very carefully seek God's direction as to whom to marry. This will influence not only our course but also that of all of our descendants. Our spouses will lead our families closer to the Lord or farther from Him, or even away from Him altogether. This is true of our friends and acquaintances also. II Cor. 6:14, I Cor. 15:33, Prov. 13:20

"Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms." Psalms 95:2 How do we lift up our hearts and minds out from the cares and fears and drudgery this present evil world, and all that the ungodly are threatening? LOOKING UNTO JESUS! How do we comfort ourselves and one another, and beat back the enemy by speaking the Words of God? LOOKING UNTO JESUS! If we understand anything about the Psalms, it must first be how the Spirit describes the inner life of Christ and all those who love Him, and of the evident truth about what we are set to encounter in this world for Jesus' sake. Whatever the devil and his seed have imagined to do, when God removes His restraint let us bravely stand strong and true in the Lord: "No cross, no crown!" LOOK UNTO JESUS AND REJOICE FOR OUR GREAT AND HAPPY WORLD TO COME WITH HIM!

Remember how the Lord Jesus submitted to the authority of the priests and the Sanhedrin; and so also when they delivered Him up to the Gentiles; (which they were subject to); He submitted to the sentence that they gave upon Him? "Now is the Son of man delivered into the hands of sinners;" and now are we also to walk in His steps of submission to the powers that be, for they are appointed by God.
  • A disciple on Psalms 35 - 9 years ago
"False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not. They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul." When after centuries of apostasy defiance and sin against the LORD the people asked for a king; God gave them the Announced Glad Tidings of His Anointed the Saviour of the world and their Glory above the Nations! But none of these things moved them to repentance.
  • A disciple on Lamentations 4 - 9 years ago
"As for us, our eyes as yet failed for our vain help: in our watching we have watched for a nation that could not save us. They hunt our steps, that we cannot go in our streets: our end is near, our days are fulfilled; for our end is come." "And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." Watch and pray Brethren!

  • Joe 667 on Romans 10 - 9 years ago
Job 26 7 says He hung the earth on nothing when the learned people of this world believed the earth was flat. Job was probably ridiculed and certainly the Jews that believed this were however when science caught up, Job was right. If you believe and teach the words of this Gospel, you will not be ashamed. Verse 11
  • Ruby on Psalms 9 - 9 years ago
The Lord hast not forgotten them that seek Him. But the unGodly shall be as dust that is scattered in a hot wind, for they are not. Pray as Kind David prays. He sits upon his bed and meditates on the Glory of God. He is a King who has the wisdom to give praise and worship far unlike the AntiChrist whom we have to deal. For Satan comes first and he will let for a time until the reckoning.
  • Obbie Beal on Revelation 6 - 9 years ago
This chapter is WOW!.. because the current events of all the nations of the world (social, political, economical, etc.,) proves when we added-up the current events of the nations of the world the total is seal # 6 can open before we take our next breath. WOW !
  • A disciple on Psalms 1 - 9 years ago
Treasure; You have my prayers and I have already asked the Lord to help you and deliver you safely out of any bad situation. We do not have to just let evil and un-repenting people misuse us and then say to us, Oh you're suppose to be a Christian! It is not a license for mean and ugly people to have a free for all on our account. We do seek their good and turn the other cheek but are also prudent.
  • A disciple on Psalms 34 - 9 years ago
"Of David, when he changed his behavior before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed." In this earliest time of David being a wrongful fugitive from the persecutions of Saul, some might find a lot to criticize him for, as if they would have reacted differently and so better. But out of these things came at least two Spirit inspired Psalms, and no criticism or disapproval at all from God!
  • Lowanda on Psalms 26 - 9 years ago
Yes the lord is always among us. I was just saying today before I went to psalms 26 that when God Bless you, you must put behind people that is not of God I was blessed and I'm not the same person I was before I was saved I'm trying to be a good person and continue to love God. I don't want to do the things I use to do. So I would love to thank God for saving me and today it was confirmed .
  • Yesmalachi on Titus 1 - 9 years ago
Titus 1 vs 10;For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: How true is this verse in reference to churches of this age. Many have left the preaching of the gospel/Christ to motivational speeches, business talks, and self elevation messages today in our various pulpits thereby relegating Christ to the back ground. May God deliver us from such.

Verse 18 reveals the magnanimity of Almighty God's forgiving grace.
Oooh Lord God your name be praised forevermore!!

  • A disciple on Matthew 10 - 9 years ago
"But the very hairs of your head are all numbered." There are many things the Lord wants to say to us, but we cannot bear them. A big reason for this not being able to bear them, is in the corrupted view of God in the human's darkened heathen mind and a heart alienated from and hostile to God being God! Why would Jesus have to say that our heavenly Father doesn't give us a scorpion when we ask for an egg, if it wasn't because of the heathen thinking with which we are accustomed to think that if there IS a God He has some sinister design against us. And even from the pulpit we constantly hear this same kind of slander against God sugar-coated with religious sounding talk about why we endure suffering, trials and temptations. Any man who invents or builds something, has to have the understanding in order to perfect his ideas. Why then do men think that God doesn't know or doesn't care about the very smallest parts of our existence? I am convinced that this is what it means to know the Lord, and Him knowing us, that shall be the grounds for God letting us enter into His kingdom when this time is finished.

  • A disciple on 2 Samuel 13 - 9 years ago
What was David supposed to do? Amnon was dead, Absalom was banished and fled! Why is the Righteous the first people look to blame when wicked men do evil? If there had been any of David's sons to receive the Spirit of God and set his course in life to be perfect with God like they saw in their father all their lives, they would have mourned WITH their father over the sin, and not indulged in it?
  • A disciple on Lamentations 3 - 9 years ago
When we read the Gospel Narratives of Jesus' temptations and trials, of His being hated and harassed and persecuted, and of His at one point being completely given into the hands of the wicked to be mocked, condemned and destroyed; how many of us are able to consider what ALL is actually happening? He came into the world for that reason, to bear witness of the truth; and so does He send us.
  • Abraham garcia on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago
Psalms 23 it makes me. Feel confident and feel the power of love, of our lord GOD. Amen
  • A disciple on Lamentations 2 - 9 years ago
You can tell by which Chapters are filled with comments and discussion and which ones are notably avoided what people gravitate to and what they are uncomfortable with. In nearly every single movie or play that has a Preacher warning of wrath and hell fire, they are portrayed as ugly and cruel, and the whole subject is then made a mockery. But Jesus, the Author of love, very much taught about it!

What is so very, very important about understanding the significance of what happened to Israel because of their sins and rejection of the Lord; they were and still are made a sign unto all men everywhere as God's peculiar people of covenant close to Him and superior to all others. For even in their present condition of being under wrath and punishment, they are an instruction from God to all men.
