DarrellIBMs; You say the truth! Leviticus 19:29 "Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness." Psalm 12:8 "The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted." Amos 5:13 "Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time." May the Lord lead us in what we are to do and say.

"For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night." If you have ever known a thief, or got to know how they think and work; you'd better understand the way the Lord uses this for a comparison. But in addition to the way the thief works, which is important to know about the Day of the LORD; the fact that He has had His eye on them and planning well ahead.

The Holy Spirit has emboldened the Apostles. They are now on fire for Christ and endued with healing power. They shared and lived communally. What a glorious beginning in was with the Apostles! Today, we should strive to have the Holy Spirit with us permanently so we can be so empowered and overcome sin and the devil.
  • Evangelist Andrew Kelly - 9 years ago
God and his word is ALWAYS two separate things. Numbers 11:23] And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD's hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.

Psalm 107:20] He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

    Proverbs 2:[1] My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

Bruce: Jesus had his own will as he did not want to go to the cross, he knew he had to obey God his Father. Jesus felt pain, hungered, slept, ate, drank etc. Jesus knew it was going to be painful and wanted that portion of his life to pass by him. He knew that his mission was to fulfill his Father's will. Luke 22:41-44

2 Timothy 4:6-7 6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. This must of been Paul's last Epistles knowing he was going to be put to death. That man kept the faith all the way through his life with Jesus. Praise the Lord.
  • Ray321 on 1 Timothy 5 - 9 years ago
1 Timothy 5:18 For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. The Word of God is Jesus and there for the Holy Spirit will guide us in truth for speaking the Word. We must not stop the Word.
  • A disciple on Revelation 10 - 9 years ago
God went through great pains, and many, many holy men sacrificed everything, to bring us the whole Bible as we have it today: it must mean that He has A LOT to say to us, when we are able to bear it. I don't think that God wants any of us to not use our brains, and the capacities of moral and intellectual knowledge; that's part of what we are in His image. But some things we must wait for.
  • Ray on 1 Thessalonians 5 - 9 years ago
Romans 12:12 12 Rejoicing in hope patient in tribulation continuing instant in prayer All saved born again child of God have tribulation in there life, but there is going to be a 7 year tribulation that Daniel speaks about. Daniel 9:24-27 Jacobs trouble. We are not in it, the Rapture will come before Jacobs trouble. Then comes the second coming of Jesus Christ. Zechariah 14:2-4

Dejvi Kadivnik; Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. The Spirit said through David in Psalm 139:8 "If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there." Isaiah 40:22 "It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth.." From God's vantage point in the heights He beholds all the children of men; and time is subject to eternity. So too your questions!
  • A disciple on Revelation 20 - 9 years ago
Ron; did you ever read closely Ezekiel 16; particularly the last 10 verses or so? There are a couple of very interesting things you may like. First, about Sodom; that most to this day only associate it with perversion and unrestrained lechery. But the way God describes her sins, it totally sounds like much of the modern world around us! Also, God plans to restore people to their former estate.
  • Ray321 on 1 Thessalonians 3 - 9 years ago
Ephesians 1:7 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace. God looks at us as thou we never sin. But the flesh will still sin.
  • Ray321 on Philippians 1 - 9 years ago
Philippians 1:17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. Apostle Paul will defend his gospel that Jesus reveal to him.
  • Ray321 on Ephesians 6 - 9 years ago
Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints I will always pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ so they don't fall in the trap of the devil, that's why we need the full Armour of God, to fight the good fight.

Correction for 1 Thessalonians 5 comment: BRUCE, Thank you for your very intelligent post about tribulation. As for if any one knows the day and hour of the Lord's coming; I suppose there'll always be someone popping up from time to time saying that they figured it out! The Bible says that these are allowed, in order to prove if we are obedient or not; and that we shouldn't be afraid of them.
  • Ray321 on Ephesians 1 - 9 years ago
Galatians 2:20 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Paul still had to live in his flesh, that means he still had sin in his life, thank God for the Holy Spirit inside him that never sins. The flesh still will sin.
  • A disciple on 1 Thessalonians 5 - 9 years ago
Thank you Ray for your intelligent post; very good! It is because of the very common fantasy MIS-teaching about the Rapture being seven years before the Tribulation, that many are completely scandalized by the idea of actually having to suffer on account of their faith in Jesus. Their Pastors and Teachers have caused this, and will be held accountable for all who might be lost because of it.
  • Ray321 on 2 Corinthians 11 - 9 years ago
Acts 9:15 15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: Paul didn't have to brag about what he did for the Lord Jesus, Jesus said that Paul was a chosen vessel into him. That alone is special from Jesus himself. Jesus, thank you for using Apostle Paul for the Gentiles. Love

Romans 7:18 18 For I know that in me that is, in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me but how to perform that which is good I find not. Paul had one problem, that was the flesh. The new creature inside him was fight with the flesh. Thank God for the Holy Spirit inside us that are saved by believing thru Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ finished works.
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 9 - 9 years ago
James 2:14-16 14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body what doth it profit?
  • Ray321 on 1 Timothy 1 - 9 years ago
Galatians 2:7-8 7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter 8 For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles: Paul had a mission from Jesus himself to reach out to Gentiles and Peter to reach out to Jews.

  • Evangelist Andrew Kelly on 1 Chronicles 4 - 9 years ago
Without Jesus Christ the Son of God and his words in you man only has a mirage for a God. The Son of God came and spoke NOT his own words but God his Father's words. God now speaks through his Son Jesus Hebrews 1:1] God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
[2] Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir

I am now 70 years old. I have a lot of memories of times past. I have kept a prayer journal in my somputer since 2000. In this journal are a lot of photos of places my wife and I have been-and things we have done.
This past year I have physically changed and I am unable to do that which I use to.
The scripture is very clear in the above with change. "Contentment-with Godliness"...!!

Andrew: When I First Read Your Post I was Shocked but I Read it a few more times. The word weakling was ??? Strong. The Book of John 5-20 show The Son and The Father as separate:Christ was sent by The Father,
Christ had His Own Will, but done The Fathers. The Son comes in The Glory of His Father. Matthew 16:27. I hope to See more of Your Post. Pray for Those Who are Puffed-up in their Pride.
  • A disciple on Psalms 22 - 9 years ago
"I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee." After the violence and death at the hand of the wicked, God the Lord Christ was raised again to life eternal and glorified by God the Father, and given a name and authority above all heaven and earth. Jesus kept the marks of that violence in His hands and feet for an everlasting memorial in His flesh.
  • A disciple on Revelation 11 - 9 years ago
Ron; the vision that God gave to Peter, James and John, of the Lord's Glory, and Moses and Elijah talking with Him about His upcoming death in Jerusalem, is very symbolic and instructive on many levels. The reference to the Law and the Prophets, of course is one of the first things, as you point out. We mustn't limit any life to being merely for a symbolic use. Enoch and Elijah are still alive.
  • Bruce on 1 Thessalonians 3 - 9 years ago
Ray? There are many Churches that love one another, they talk about The Bible,Way of Salvation.Do different things, thinking they are Saved and are more Lost then The World. One Big Social Club. Some on this site have lunch with The Wolf. Only by The Blood of The Lamb and The Word of God,We can Win The Battle: Ephesians 10:18. It's getting harder to find a Body of True Believers. Preach The Blood
