When Jesus called them to follow him - they knew who He was. And Jesus knew they knew. Jesus, being God manifest, knew everything omniscience . " ... we have found Him, of whom Moses in the Law and the Prophets did write ... " These12 knew their O.T.

I've seen on here a pastor that said John the Baptist baptized using the name of Jesus. John didn't use that or any name he baptized using only the words, "for the remission of sins". Jesus' name wasn't revealed for baptism until Acts 2:38.

fact that scripture tells us that Satan as antichrist comes to deceive the whole world which means there is a deception. Now an actor deceives people playing a role of another person but that's all in fun to entertain people. Now a man with battle gear on, or dragon spitting fire to kill, steal, destroy coming to kill all man of flesh doesn't need to deceive anyone.Men of war don't have to deceive

To Wayne, 12/15/16 - I just now saw the scriptures from Jn. 14:8-13 you gave me when I couldn't recall them. Thank-you --- belatedly. I was not online for 3 wks. during 12/15/'16 because of the flu/pneumonia/bladder infection - all at the same time. At 74 I should have died, but the Lord Jesus kept me.

Bishop Royalty Jones, thank you for your post. I would like to add, that God, who knows the thoughts and intents of everyone's heart, knows that it is a conscious moral choice in people who "act like" they don't know why all the evil is coming on the world. For example; in Rev. 16:10-11, they "...blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds."

"But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marveled." I've heard some pretty strained and stretched out interpretations of this part: including, that Jesus was, by Roman law, confessing to the crimes by His silence. But a realistic understanding of Jesus' character, and of the things He was enduring, shows us something better, for our example. Self-Control, and a Superior Character of Faith.

Roy, I guess it would be pretty boring for you and your "Bible Study" group to have your families' named one by one, as part of the Registry of the Saved! It is offensive to everyone who loves the Lord, and reverences His word, when someone speaks so glibly and with common terms about Scripture! "All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, . . ."

I just want for everyone to know that this is a very critical time in the world for everyone. We have been in the world of Spirits Good - Angels and Bad - Demons since the beginning of time. People that are not in understanding with the Word of God and what it is explaining will not get the full understanding of what God's word is saying. Ask for the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT to come.
  • Royalty Jones on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
I am going to need for all to read the First Book of the Bible with the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT and through the teaching of him GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON - JESUS AND GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT IN WHICH IS THE HOLY TRINITY PRESENTS HIMSELF AND WHAT IT IS HE/THEY ARE SAYING. DIG DEEPER PEOPLE FOR THE MEAT OF HIS WORD.

Melkisidec, the high priest who simply was, sent by God, for the benefit of Abraham, the friend of God, the father of both gentile and jew. Truly there is no difference with God. Jesus taught as a Jewish priest, from Jewish literature. He pleased God and was given gifts unimaginable. From wence came the Christian? Was it not from Paul, who was the Apostle of the Gentile by agreement

God gives us a progression of the downward spiral of the unsanctified life: walking in the council of the ungodly, standing in the way of sinners, sitting in the seat of the scornful. In Ephesians, God gives us the formula for a victorious life in Christ: SIT down in Christ( rest from all your labors to save your self). WALK worthy of the Lord in a separated walk, STAND true to our Calling.
  • Ann Neal on Amos 4 - 9 years ago
GOD hates sin, he wants us to live holy and righteous before him so that we can receive good things from him, he smiles and rewards us for obedience, but disobedience continuously, brings forth punishment and death, it is best to walk in obedience.

Brenda: without Him I could do nothing. I was headed for hell! He tugged on my heart and told me I need Him. At least five times He called before I ask forgiveness. That night the best sleep ever, I woke up to a new world. Heavyweight, going, I didn't know I had. He gave me a New Heart and a New Mind and a love for His Word! 2Corinthians 5:17. That's who I am,saved by The Blood of The Lamb!
  • PRINCE on Genesis 41 - 9 years ago
Genesis 41 and Joseph's life is consolidated by Genesis1:2-3 before God created light, there was darkness. Even a Christian before God exalts you, there has to be tribulation to reveal whether the heart will still believe in difficult circumstances. Just like Abraham before God gave him a child was subjected to long-suffering and famine even when ISAAC came he was asked to offer him to prove faith
  • Irene123 on 1 Corinthians 12 - 9 years ago
    V. 1 - "..... and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost." What this is referring to is - Jesus is the 'Lord' of ones life, after Acts 2:38. It's THEN He becomes the Lord of one's life, and one can say, "I KNOW the Lord." Jn. 15:14. Matt. 28:19 is a commandment of Jesus: in the NAME of ....."

David is taking advantage that he meet with God now and the same God will pronounce judgment on the final day. He want to have feedback right now before the time so that he can rectify his life before the final day. Since he is the one calling for this judgment, it is true that he is ready to change after being shown his failures.

Eccl. 12:12; 12:13- and you find this in God's word (v.13), not in v.12. A 'liberal' education is against God.

We spend quite a lot of time lamenting to the lord about unpleasant circumstances in our life yet God is always doing wonderful things that we don't seem to notice because we are pre- occupied with the negative side . This psalms encourages us to praise God in all situations because the lord is Good all the time . Our human nature makes want more
