We are Jesus' servants; we love to be His servants! When the Lord sends us anywhere to do something for Him, it is for His business, and for managing His affairs and His possessions. This is what He sends us to do. The expectation is for managing His business wisely; but the evil responses and actions of those to whom He sends us, is because of their own wickedness, and not because of us!

Their ears are already turning away, having the "right" material things seems to the way of so many. preachers who teach only prosperity and not forgiveness and making their church's bigger and more wealthy without teaching the truth.
  • A disciple on Mark 12 - 9 years ago
"By what authority doest thou these things?" The "Rulers" of the Jews had encircled Jesus, and began again to attack Him; but what do they think who they are, that they can place themselves above God's Anointed and only begotten Son? It's not that they don't know who He is! It is an evil intention! The parable of the Husbandmen speaks to everyone whom God has "let" His Vineyard to manage for Him.
  • A disciple on Genesis 42 - 9 years ago
As Joseph was given the day when his brothers had to face him again for their sins against him, and he knew how to deal wisely with them; so will the Lord be faithful to bring all those who have wronged us to our feet, to show them how much He has loved us, and honors those who are good and holy before Him. God has to speak roughly to the ones who need to repent, when they are hiding their sins.

This is a true evidence of today's society. We are healed or we've been blessed through God and his powers. Yet, we are ashamed to admit to others who may not believe in God. If God does a miracle in our lives, let it be known. It says in the scriptures...If you disown Jesus/God on earth...Then he shall disown you in heaven. The blind man was healed and he let everyone whom asked of him. Amen

  • BSP on John 9 - 9 years ago
The blind man that was healed by Jesus was stating the truth that he had experienced. He was not concerned about pleasing the people around him or about their opinions so much that he was willing to compromise the truth. We do well to follow his example.

"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." Psalm 16:11
  • Irene123 on Romans 11 - 9 years ago
1 Cor. 2:16 - " ....., but we have the mind of Christ." Christ is the Word, the Word is the scriptures - which we have; God's will for us is in His Word. So we can know the mind of God to the extent we can read His word. The Bible is all we need to know of Him - until we get to Heaven - then we will know - ALL!!!

    correction: 'shouldn't' have any hatred ..... '
  • Irene12 - 9 years ago
cont. - the "Root" being Jesus, not the Jewish people, as some have said.
  • Irene123 on Romans 11 - 9 years ago
Rom. 11:28 states - As concerning the Gospel they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they ae beloved for the father's sakes." This lets us know that we should have any hatred, or become the enemy of the "branches" who were broken off, but that we should have love and mercy towards them. If it weren't for them, we wouldn't have been made partakers of the "Root". cont.
  • Irene123 on John 15 - 9 years ago
Jn. 15:13 - " ..... that a man lay down 'his' life for his friends." and take up the life of Christ.
  • Irene123 on Romans 12 - 9 years ago
It is a human tendency to think highly of ourselves. But we should not base our view of ourselves on our own assessment, but on the faith given by God: "For I say, through the grace given to me, for everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith," Rom. 1:3.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
Cont. - The faith of the Jews was uncompromisingly monotheistic; so was the faith of the first- century church. There was no expansion of monotheism to include some idea of plurality within God. Deut. 6:4.
