Human being is more important and more considerable than all that God has made. God is one in his genus, but his loving kindness has sent him to reproduce himself making living beings that we are in is likeness to be joyful seeing persons which look like Him. I know that God was not satisfied after having created all things. He needed children he would love greatly Because they are part of Him. We are part of God because we live with is breath. Animals live not with breath of God that God blew in the nostrils of human, they live with another breath different. That is why God calls us his children and love us so much. Created for ruling other all the creation, we must respect ourself keeping good relation with God. Sin has tried to take to us this privilege to rule over all, and separate us from God. But Jesus has reconstituted this privilege by the sacrifice on the cross withJesus we can always live in the love of God, and have dominion over all things. Something make me happy: "God said let us make man" With who God was ? How many they were ? This is a proof of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. Amen !

To JoAnn - if the good news of salvation is Rom. 5:8 - why do I need to read the Bible? You're saying the gospel is just Rom. 5:8? There's nothing I need more to do?

1 Kgs. ch. 11 - "Saul is one of the Bibles greatest examples of the ultimate destructive force of sin. When Saul was chosen king he was an humble man. But after he was crowned, something happened in the heart of this man. Pride and ego and rebellion took root in his heart. He lost his humility, he lost his sense of perspective. He began to rebel against the Word of God." Read this chapter, please

    V. 9 - the Pharisees knew who Jesus , KNEW he was real. But - they had an 'agenda' and that was money and power. Knowing who He was, you know they had forsaken the STUDY of the O.T. or they would have known - they couldn't fight against God and win.

And speaking of division among differing church beliefs - nowhere does the Bible say anything about - ecumeninism (the bringing together in unity of all differing beliefs). And for the past 40 yrs. plus a great effort has been going on to accomplish this. This is one thing the anti-Christ WILL accomplish, but it will be for worshipping him. The Apostolic churches are not in this movement.
  • Irene123 on Matthew 10 - 9 years ago
Matt. 10:34 - " ... not ... peace, but a sword." I, too, thought of a literal sword, but the Lord showed me Eph. 6:17 - " ..... the sword ..... which is the word of God." And Lk. 12:51 corroborates Matt. - " .... but rather division." The Bible does cause division - between families, friends and churches.

To Robt. (B0b) on Matt. 28:19, Acts 2:38, etc. - I'm just curious - what scriptures do you use to back up your opinion? No judging here, just sincere curiosity.

BSP says above, "the different positions in heaven were not his to give." It was not the positions in heaven that were at stake. This is why Jesus told them, "Ye know not what ye ask..." It was the positions on the crosses on either side of the crucified Jesus that was "given to them for whom it is prepared." James and John were unwittingly asking to be crucified with Jesus "in His glory".

Isn't that a beautiful verse? Thank-you for sharing it with me and anyone else that sees it. I knew about Num. 6:24-27, and I've seen this one, but it didn't register for some reason. Have a good day, Bro. Dan ........

Bradley; Yes, that's correct. If you don't have already, it will be a GREAT help to you, to get a Strong's Concordance, and a good hardbound Webster's Collegiate Dictionary: some basic reference tools, that will make things so much fun and interesting, while you look up the meanings of the words; for much of the language used in the Bible is simply not used in our modern world. The Lord bless you.
  • Paula H, God's baby girl evangelist. on Psalms 27 - 9 years ago
This whole chapter amazing! Keys to safety and faith in protection are: salvation, strength, whom?, They stumbled, pavilion - resting place, confident, rock, Lord took me up, secret pavilion, hide me, and finally: "wait".

The commonality to faith in GOD IS TO WAIT THROUGH ALL OF LIFE. Follow the steps of peace road or don't move.

The Peace is in God's word and Spirit.

    On Peace Rd 42 yrs.
  • Willie Harris on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
Psalms 91 gives me piece of mind, it tells me without a doubt that I have protection and who is my protector and what protection he has provided. His angels are there to protect me, my own personal body guards there is no need for fear of any kind. I have His word that He will always be with me no matter what my circumstances. He loves me and He know me by name. I am His child, and He's my Father.
  • Erica on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago
Psalms 23 means to me and makes me feel like God and Jesus Christ is MY one and only Father that will and is Protecting me from all evil...HE will definitely comfort and keep me at peace always until we meet again in Paradise, God Kingdom, and Heaven without anymore problems, stress, or issues!!
  • Stephende on Hebrews 10 - 9 years ago
We have gone astray and will continue to stray because God requires of us to hear him and obey him, a little by little, precept by precept. Most Christians' worship amounts to idolatry, in that they worship the image and neglect the teaching of God, which Jesus taught in the Temple and to his disciples. We remain in sin without the knowledge God himself has imparted to us thru the Prophets.

Vs. 31 - A Good reminder. We shouldn't think to much of ourselves. We have much to boast about if we center our life and conversation on Jehovah God. Could we ever run out of good things to say about our creator? Surely not!

    Vs. 8-9
These verses really give glimpse into how God views time. Vs. 8 can help us understand that the creative days were not literal 24 hour periods, but the term "day" can refer to a span of years. Vs. 9 highlights God's mercy and shows that he is being patient allowing as much time as possible to elapse for us to come to an approved standing with Him.
