    I like what P.C. Parks said about V, 20
  • Irene123 on Galatians 3 - 9 years ago
There was a comment on the back pgs. of this chapter about the distinction between 'faith' and 'the faith', but it wasn't completely followed through. In the book of James he talks a lot about 'faith'; this is the faith we have, our belief in God and His Word - it's a verb. Jude speaks of 'the faith ' once delivered to the saints - this is a noun. 'The faith' is the word of God, the Bible.

To Bruce - May I ask you an 'honest' question - with no hidden agenda? I just take it from your comments and lack of mentioning it - that you don't believe speaking in tongues as the evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit is for these days? You have the right to your beliefs with no one 'commenting' on them. Jesus is our judge.
  • Sheelah on John 9 - 9 years ago
He didn't know Jesus too much but the impact was undeniable.

Norm: Jesus Christ is now live in the flesh. Where in the Bible, is that found?

  • Irene123 on John 9 - 9 years ago
To Matt. - in saying everyone's memory has been stripped away - are you referring to vs. 1-2 ..... ?
  • A disciple on Lamentations 5 - 9 years ago
We read these very dreadful words, and can't help but think of the doom of our own Country because of apostasy and sin, and so much innocent blood! Jeremiah 25 speaks about these things. What is most tragic, is how that most are too hardened and indifferent to the things of God, and so, to their own eternal welfare; that they will never benefit from the Spirit's words through the Prophets.

To Daniel FC - you're a wise man; you know quite a lot ............
  • A disciple on Romans 1 - 9 years ago
It is hard to tell if these to whom Paul wrote, were actually yet saved Believers in Christ. In Acts, when he first arrived in Rome, they had only "heard, that this sect was evil spoken of everywhere;" and he also says here that he is ready to preach the Glad Tidings to them ALSO. He goes on to say how God's judgment and divine power is shown in the way He MAKES people according to their own ways.
  • Love for Truth on Matthew 28 - 9 years ago
Amen Jesus tried to make this simple for us but the devil knows if he can keep you from being baptized in that singular all powerful only saving name of Jesus he can keep from being saved Acts 4:12 none other name under heaven whereby ye must be saved Colossians 3:17 Do all in the name of Jesus .

Galatians 1 is an eye opener! Since the Holy Spirit inspired Paul to write this, Paul is referring to his Gospel of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret since the world began, Paul calls it my gospel. verse 9 let him be accursed, means he should be removed from teaching babes in Christ, it does not mean he should be condemned to hell.

    To Irene123
Matt. 28:19 - using the words of Jesus (thru Peter) of Acts2:38; Matt. 16:19. Irene did you know that none of these verses that you used were written for you to follow. Look at Acts 9:15, Romans 16:25-26, Romans 11:13, and Gal 1:8-9. After Acts 7 even the Jews could no longer claim them. Their exalted nation status was set aside until the tribulation.

  • A disciple on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 9 years ago
Sakana; adding to what you said, (very good!), that's what happens when folks who don't have the Holy Spirit to teach them all things, go instead after their own imaginations! Another problem that they make for themselves, is that they apparently don't have access to, or don't know how to use a Strong's Concordance, or a good Dictionary; for this would clear up all their misreadings of Scriptures.
  • A disciple on John 3 - 9 years ago
Zeneida; I'm so sorry! I didn't read your post right; I hope you can forgive me. Please don't be mad at me; I had to read a second time; and then I saw that I was to hasty. You say it perfectly; it is not automatic that everyone goes to heaven when they die! This is a great teaching about the meaning, and of our whole experience in this life: we are born into the world to "be made" God's children!
  • A disciple on John 3 - 9 years ago
Zeneida; NOT EVERYONE is going to be found written in the Lamb's Book of Life! but those who are truly born from above and converted. We CANNOT just live any way we want! We are bought with a price, and are duty bound to live, no longer to ourselves, but to Him who redeemed us by His blood on the cross. "Except you repent' says Jesus, 'you shall ALL perish."
  • A disciple on Genesis 41 - 9 years ago
Note carefully how this Pharaoh reacts to the words of the man of God. This particular Pharaoh was a righteous man, and true enough to recognize good and sound words from God. He also evidently had no problem with God, with respect to his own position as king of Egypt; and was ready and able to act in faith appropriately, with respect to God's doings, and his own place as the ruler of his people.

PSALMS 85 vs 11 THE REAL TRUTH IS COMING OUT.
  • Sakana on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 9 years ago
I may be misunderstanding, but if "gathering to Christ" (v1) and "falling away" (v3) is same event, v3 doesn't make sense, "the rapture can't happen until the rapture happens." The falling away (apostasy) will be believers falling (leaving their first love) from worshipping true Christ. Why do they? Satan (1st) will look like the Lamb ( Rev 13). We wait for true Lamb (2nd). Patience. ( Lk 21:19)
  • Tessie on Genesis 37 - 9 years ago
Israel's love for Joseph caused the others jealousy but God used their hateful actions to work for good for him as Romans 8:28 proves.

Jesus is the light of the world.
  • Zeneida on John 3 - 9 years ago
This chapter let us know, that we can't live any kind of way, die, and go to heaven,so when a love one dies and we say I know you in heaven looking down on us,its not true ,everyone not going to heaven,it clearly states you have to born again of the water n by the spirit, which is the father n the son,n the only way to even worship them is through the spirit because they are a spirit
  • James on Isaiah 11 - 9 years ago
It is soo powerful words from God let us look 1Peter 1:20 say knowing this first that no prophecy of scriptures is of any private interpretation I thank God and let we all thanks him for what's is doing only him know every things again thank you Soo much let in God Bless you all
  • Anne on Genesis 37 - 9 years ago
In this chap. purpose preserves the life of Joseph. Joseph's brothers hated him and wanted to kill because their father, Jacob, favoured him over them and Joseph told them his dreams in which he was Lord over them. They tried to kill him but could not because God had a purpose ànd a plan for his life. Pro. 19:21 'Many are the plans in a man's heart but it's the Lord's purpose that prevails'.
  • Martha on John 9 - 9 years ago
when you have been touched by the Lord, you going to tell somebody because you going to feel like shouting it from the roof top. I know a man and his name is Jesus and he has set me free. Bless the name of the Lord for He is good.

Stephende - Paul was directly called by Jesus to preach to the Gentiles. ALthough Paul had compassion for his fellow Isrealites, his mission was aimed at the Gentiles. Paul always followed Divine direction - Jews first, then Gentiles.

correction: 2nd thoughts about LEAVING the now defunct .....
  • Irene - 9 years ago
Romans was the letter of instruction on how to live their new Christian life. Just as all the following letters were instructions of the same to these other churches; Jesus' plan of salvation is found only in Acts chapter 2.
