Aquila, Pricilla They were 'teaching' one person not preaching in a church. They were 'witnessing'. Apollos NEEDED their expounding on the truth of Jesus because he was doing some harm otherwise they would have left him alone.

To be on this site where others are truly needing help - and then to say things like, "you wicked people" - is an awful thing. There are people that are in depression and despair and that does not help.

To Joey on 12 15 '15 - What Peter wrote, what Paul wrote, what James wrote, what Jude wrote, are all from the 'mouth' of GOD. ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God. Who is - JESUS Jesus Jehovah in O.T. is God's name.

Rom. 1:8 - "I thank God ... that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world." They were already very well known Christians. V. 15 - Paul was an evangelist; he had no 'church'. "...being ready ... also ..." is what any evangelist would say to the church he was going to preach at. "Come now, .... "; Isa1:18

In Acts, Paul's conversion had not had time to reach Jerusalem when first he went there. In his letter he had been converted for quite some time and was well known and known of in Jesus' church, altho' he hadn't personally been to the Rome church as yet. The things of Rom. happened AFTER the things of Acts. "Come now, let us reason together ....." Isa.1:18.

Is anyone able to breakdown the numbering method they use? For example, they say threescore and ten palm trees which I understand as 70. Since threescore is 60 and add ten, you get 70. Is this how others understand it?

I love Psalms 91 because it remind us that when we are weak he is their to strengthen us and that he. Is jour refuge in time of trouble he will never leave us.

V.29 - " ..... abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood ..... ; at the time this was written, idol worship was still going on - with the drinking of blood to the gods. Nowadays, to eat a piece of rare meat isn't the same; one is not doing it unto idols. Although, there are some cults still that do such things, but you will never see it done as they stay hidden.

To Andrew, v. 24, 1 26 '15 - Apollos did know the O.T. all TRUE Jews did but there may have been a few N.T. scriptures circulating at his time but the N.T. wasn't even begun in writing until at least 15 yrs. after the start of the N.T. church in Acts ch. 2. Aquila Priscilla expounded the scriptures more perfectly all this could very well have been from just the O.T.

To Graham on 12 3 13 - What a beautiful testimony!! I love seeing the TRUTH on here. It's true - people take from God's Word just what they want - and that in itself nullifies God's word to others nobody's getting the whole truth.

Some people seem to find that 'faith' is a risk; Strange - as God's word itself says that "..... without faith it is impossible to please Him." God would not give us something that was a - risk.
