disciple, your comment to me on Gal.1 pg. brought me here.In the Spirit of Proverbs 2:5-13; please read Romans 1:17-21 V.20 God says "there is no excuse"There is no profit for people when affections(the flesh is weak but the spirit is willing) cause us to make excuses for them.V.17 "the just shall live by faith." Test the spirits, hope in His mercy, walk by faith. God is faithful to His Word. Amen
  • Lu2677 on Galatians 1 - 9 years ago
"fear of robbing God" I don't see much "fear" being expressed here at all.
Salvation is not by works,it is by grace through faith, a gift. Eph.2:8. Carnal man does not have the ability to do anything good apart from God."There is none that do good, no not one." The righteousness that man has is God's righteousness.Man cannot do anything to gain salvation. He said"faith without works is dead."

Proverbs 1:5 "A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: V.20 "Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets" V.23 "Turn you at my reproof; behold I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you." May the Lord give you wisdom.

    Amen.
  • Brenda on Psalms 30 - 9 years ago
God is always neat and he never fails. To God be the glory for with faith all things are possible.
  • Judy Marshall on Isaiah 6 - 9 years ago
Someone stated that my church was "a little over the top" because of our music / song worship service. It was not the typical laid back way. To all critics,
  • Lu2677 on Galatians 1 - 9 years ago
Disciple,Not sure I understand your question, through no fault of yours.Matt.7:18-21.Is the context of V. 20,By their fruits you shall know them" I don't see this as specifically referring to the ones that "fail God". "fruits" are of those good, and of those that are corrupt.Using discernment and knowledge we know them by their fruits.V.21 "Lord,Lord" those that proclaim righteousness, but are lost.
  • Lu2677 on 2 Samuel 11 - 9 years ago
Yes, David sinned, adultery and murder,( 2 Samuel 11). 2 Samuel 12 David knew God was displeased with him, he repented. Nevertheless, God punished David by causing his new born son to be sick and die. Then God blessed David with another son; Solomon. And God loved Solomon.
  • Bob on Ephesians 4 - 9 years ago
The Lord and His word are meant to be taken personally. Weather good or bad, it is always His decision. His word is " do not let the sun go down on your anger". Honesty, integrity, humility and The Fear of The Lord. This leads to life.
  • A disciple on 2 Samuel 12 - 9 years ago
(cont. to Forgiven) "If you love me keep my commandments." It is a prayer inspired by an unrepentant and selfish heart, that prays for God to bless an unlawful love affair. Is one of them married? Are they toying with sin? What is the conflict, since you know that its wrong? and why then do you ask God to still be nice to you and your "desires" instead of fleeing for your life? Repent, or be lost!
  • A disciple - 9 years ago
To Forgiven, (1 year ago); If you ever really wish to find the Lord's release in this matter, you HAVE TO cut off the evil allure from before your eyes, and drive it out of your heart completely and without mercy! Just like the LORD's sentence on the wicked Canaanites of old; He commands us to make no covenants with them, but destroy them utterly; for they will take you away from following Jesus.
  • Art on 1 Samuel 1 - 9 years ago
This is a woman (Hannah) who loves God with all her Heart, Soul and Mind ask our God for a request and because God believed her he granted her request..basically LOVE ALWAYS CONQUERS ALL
  • A disciple on 2 Samuel 12 - 9 years ago
When the subject of God's forgiveness of great sin comes up, with many people it is too big a stumbling-block, that defies all their sense of right and wrong. They can't understand that the greatness of the release comes out of the greatness of the Person who releases; and speaks of His love and compassion that overcomes His own deep hurts: and not without worthy repentance of the one who sinned.
  • Sandra Howard on Psalms 34 - 9 years ago
With god in my life, I have nothing to worry about because he supplies my needs as stated in the book of Phillipians 4:19. Actually, it is up to us to trust him in every area of our life.
  • A disciple on 2 Samuel 11 - 9 years ago
Hi Irene; I was looking over some older posts, and I saw this one you wrote about complacency. Despite my previous answer, I do completely agree with you. "But David tarried still at Jerusalem." It is a lazy and indifferent spirit that seeks to lull us away from and out of our intense urgency and diligence in the Spirit. As a Prophet, our precious brother David knew better; but didn't look out.
  • A disciple on Matthew 12 - 9 years ago
"Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him. But when Jesus knew, he withdrew himself from thence: and great crowds followed him, and he healed them all; and charged them that they should not make him known:" Jesus doesn't overpower his enemies to show them by force; nor does He need public displays to further the Spirit's work for His righteous cause.
  • A disciple on Proverbs 2 - 9 years ago
"For the LORD gives wisdom: out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding." The wisdom that God gave to Solomon reflected both His love for Solomon for the kind of man he was in his heart toward God; and of the nature of Solomon's request and desire to teach Israel how to be "A man after God's own heart;" like his father David. "Because this was in your heart," shows us how closely God sees!
  • A disciple on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
Scenario: "The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also." When men despise and reject the Truth, they become prey to the father of lies; and their strong delusions are held by their pride.
  • Sheri Stump on John 1 - 9 years ago
God tells us in Gen 1 that He and the word are one. Is the word Jesus? Yes in John 1:14 says the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.

  • Walking with Jesus on Matthew 6 - 9 years ago
To follow Jesus is to deny yourself all of your lifelong vanity to preserve your way of life, which all previous generations who came before have prescribed for us. As Jesus has depended on God for his sustenance, can we do the same? Our mission isn't the same as his. We are called to turn from the wickedness of this world in this time and place and to decry hypocrisy in high places. Peace.
  • Brianna vs. 12 on 1 Corinthians 2 - 9 years ago
As we align our lives with the Bible and make a dedication to Jehovah God, we are able to receive his spirit. This is a great source of protection to Christians. This allows us to see the world from spiritual perspective, gaining the mind of Christ. Thus we can make decisions that will draw us closer to God, and resist Satan's evil spirit of the world.

Youre on the right track, the popes tripple crown insignia in written in Latin ,Vicarius Fillei Dei which when added up comes to the number 666. Which in Revelation 13 tells alllasversefverse
  • Brianna vs. 6-8 on Matthew 7 - 9 years ago
Even while Jesus Christ was on this very earth, religious leaders were corrupting the word of God and sticking to traditions rather than the scriptures. To this very day it has only gotten worse. Friends, we must study the scriptures. We can not rely solely on those claiming to be men of God. If we study our Bibles we can know the truth, and be truly content while we await salvation.
  • Brianna vs. 9 on Zephaniah 3 - 9 years ago
For then I will change the language of the peoples to a pure language, So that all of them may call on the name of Jehovah, To serve him shoulder to shoulder.’

Religion was never meant to be divided. There is one God, and he intended for us to worship him in ONE accord, one language, so that all people on this earth can serve "Shoulder to Shoulder".
  • Brianna vs. 11-13 on Ecclesiastes 8 - 9 years ago
With all the unjust court rulings happening, I do appreciate seeing God's Justice. Wicked men think that they can do all the bad they want just because judgement has not been executed immediately. That is the time for repentance. However, we are promised that it will not turn out well for the wicked. Jehovah God will bring justice. Unlike human courts, who very often let criminals go free.
  • Brenda Johnson on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
Psalms 91 is breath taking, a new feeling of fresh air. Strength to your body. Sweet music to your ears. It gives you peace, joy and happiness.God is so good, those words give you protection like a new born baby cuddled in mommy arms. An adult who has lost his way and found a safe and a father's embracing unconditional LOVE 💘
  • Dave P on Proverbs 2 - 9 years ago
Why are people robbed of wisdom, knowledge and understanding? Because they are not following God's instructions in verses 1-9. If I told most people that there was a million dollars hidden in their backyard, do you think they would dig for it? God tells us where and how but men are more interested in Satan's counterfeits versus His finest. See Psalms 19:7-11 and Psalm 37:1-4
  • Lilian on Ephesians 4 - 9 years ago
To Michelleann: Jesus loves you surrender everything to Jesus and let him handle your situation. He is the only one who can heal our pain and wipe our tears only believe that Jesus is the healer. • Peter A. Okebukola on 2 Samuel 11 - 9 years ago
This chapter narrates a very bad side of David- coveting a neighbour's wife.
