We must never forget to think of him everyday.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on John 3 - 9 years ago
This is a most-instructive chapter which ends in verse 36 as "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." We have a choice- believe on our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and have everlasting life or disbelieve and end up in perdition. For me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

This is a classic case of promise fulfilled and "the evil that men do lives after them; the good oft interred with their bones". David and Jonathan had a pact to be like brothers. David was true to this pact and showed kindness to Jonathan's lame son. The good that Jonathan did in not allowing Saul to take the life of David is now paying off.

Yes, Clg; God has made of one blood all Nations, and He has fashioned all our hearts alike, and ponders all our ways. Jesus Himself said, "One is your Master, even Christ; and ALL YOU ARE BRETHREN:" which makes us equal under God. Some seem to think that their salvation sets them above other "mere mortals" and have little room for wisdom and compassion in the way Jesus exemplified it toward all!

"And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?" Knowing the Word and being able to quote the Word, and actually being one in whom the Word lives and breathes, can be two different things, when someone thinks that there condemnation of others is justified "because it's Scriptural," but neglecting to judge self!

BSP; How right you are! The Lord had Moses send certain chosen men to go search out the land; like the Lord has chosen certain men today, to search out the Promised Land in Christ, and bring word back to His people, to show them how they shall go in to take possession. And many do the same today, by bringing an evil report through unbelief, and cause the whole congregation to fear and lose heart!

To say " 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is the gospel that saves; not John 3:16", is silly. They mean the same thing. When Paul said "my gospel" it is because in Christ;Christ's gospel is Paul's gospel.Paul taught what Jesus taught, plus things that God inspired him to live and teach. Yes, learning from Paul and living out his gospel saves, a state that is progressive. His gospel belongs to the body of Christ

I asked the Lord for a word, and he sent this! I am in this exact position, accused of doing and thinking evil! I was horrified that anyone could think so of me, but when I see Job, the righteous man of God in the same position, I am comforted. I am not more important than he, or indeed than our Lord and Saviour, whom was falsely accused. To God be the glory, I crave His strength and wait on Him!

1 Timothy 6:6, 6:8. Philippians 4:11,12,13 V.11 "Not that I speak in respect of want:for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content." Be content in plenty and in lack.

Matthew 7:21-23 is explaining salvation by faith alone
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. What is God's will? John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life:

Verse 15 shows that no matter how great and mighty a nation may be, they amount to a "drop of a bucket" in his eyes.
  • Lu2677 - 9 years ago
God so loved the world ( John 3:16);He died for all men,in that sense all men are equal. All will be in front of the judgement seat, all will give account for what he has done in the body, whether it be good or bad. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Satan deceives the whole world. By our words we shall be justified, by our words we shall be condemned. Every knee shall bend, etc
