The name Lucifer & son of the morning, were words used to describe this king (the 'shining one', the 'son of the dawn' - symbols of Babylonian supreme power that prevailed in that part of the world). He positioned himself as a god and believed himself to be so mighty & invincible, that God records the very sentiments of this king's heart: He said, "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High." ( Isaiah 14:13,14).
And this account of this king has often, even rightly been attributed to Satan, whose spirit was in control of the king; a spirit of having godlikeness, supreme power & authority, & invincibility. We see also Ezekiel 28:12-19, reference to the King of Tyre, yet the description supplied fits more with Satan, and thus a lamentation against him, who was the spirit at work in the king. So, the name Lucifer (shining one) or 'son of the morning', whether applied to a king or Satan himself has nothing to do with being "the first born of God", rather of the evil spirit manifesting in Satan's servants who stand against the Almighty. And the next time we read of such a stand & declaration against the Living God will be in the anti-Christ (called here "the son of perdition", 2 Thessalonians 2:3,4), though many of the Roman emperors of old also claimed deity.
Calvary gives not a single 'dot' of glory to any man . ALL the glory belongs to God . For we are not saved by our own work but are saved by that Great Work of Calvary .
Calvary is the great divide .and when God saud " I will pour out upin ALL flesh my Holy Spirit is not God the " God of all flesh" ?
And can any seed at all not give increase without Him? The pouring out of His Spirit upin all flesh does not mean as in the day of Pentecost alone etc but also as the rain falls even the weeds and tares rejoice . The rain causing each seed to manifest itself as to what sort it is .
The drawing of ALL men to Christ reveals what they are and if what seed .
I'm saying all this because there seems to be some glorying not in Christ but in our election!
But what says the scripture ? " Make your election sure"! We cannot boast or glory over anyone because though we quote scripture concerning the election we seem to have forgotten " say not who will go down because that brings Christ up and say not who will go up for that will bring Chris down but what says the scriptures"
Jesus said " I condemn no one but on that day my words will condemn you "
We are not to judge before the time and much of the 'conversation' about the elect is often I think a great hinderance to the preaching and the liberty of the gospel . For it lifts man up in his own estimation or perception of election rather than let God do the raising .for is it not written Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God and in due time He will exalt you "
And if some still continue let us remember that there are those " counted righteous" and there are those who are . For Lot was counted righteous but walked by sight nd suffered loss as through fire while Abraham walked by faith and was ready .
There is the elect and the " very elect" . So if by the grace of God you boast in your election . "Make your election sure "
"For if it was possible even the very elect would be deceived ".
There is a strange idea that some people are elected for damnation and others are not .on the face of it this is what the scriptures teach But consider this if you will .Given that therevis not one person born of Adam that is born of that corruptible seed that is not predestined or predetermined to bring forth corruption unto death for every seed brings forth fruit after its own kind . ToGod has also stated that He is not willing that ANY should perish but that ALL should come to a knowledge of the truth" in that it says ALL none is excluded and all are included . I am not speaking about universalism where some think all will be saved . I'm talking about Gods will that NONE shouid perish but that ALL should come to a knowledge of the truth .
I'm talking about the nature character and disposition of God .
I'm saying that even as " by one man's disobedience ALL die " So also by one man's obedience ALL shall live " .
I'm saying that God Almighty is quite capable ( and willing) to save ALL and has the pioneer and ability to do so .
For God did not send Jesus to save what you call the elect only but for the whole world .. Everyone .
For as " the serpent was lifted up in the wilderness so must the Son of Man be lifted up and if I be lifted up,I will draw ALL men unto me" in that He said ALL none is omitted .
Now on the day of Pentecost is it not written and quoted God will pour out His Spirit upon ALL flesh? In that it says ALL none ar3 excluded .
Now if ALL are drawn to Calvary then it is Gods will that ALL not only come to a knowledge of the truth but that all men be saved .
But not all will so come but will resist the drawing of God and resist Gods will . And deny The Truth . But to resist the irresistible is it not to bring destruction upon your own head? And to deny the irrefutable is it not to bring damnation upon your own head?
Calvary GIVES NOT A . OF GLORY TO ANY Man . All the glory is Gods . To be continued--
Parenthesis is an extra-Biblical term but the testimony of Jacob serves as the law superceding the Law of Moses, proof of which we shall examine in this post. In the manner Jacob could prevail over Esaua proves the aptness of the name Israel. He made peace with man. He prevailed over God, prove of which he carried in his limp, and it showed he had no more confidence in his flesh. It was a spiritual token far more significant than circumcision. As the heir of promise God gave Jacob twelve sons. In his blessings it was Joseph whom he set apart as the stone of Israel establishing the Covenant as the double for the Son. This law supercedes the ten commandments, which is marked by the rules,'the law kills.'
Firstly the verse,"For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children." (Ps.78.5). They wandered 40 years in the wilderness because of their disbelief and only two were left of the original number, "Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice;/Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:" See the significance of the number 10 which is a mark of condemnation? Only two had a different spirit that is the testimony of Jacob. Joshua is a Greek variant for Jesus, the God of salvation, They were led by 'the Spirit of the living God;' and St Paul says, "but our sufficiency is of God;/Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life."(2 Cor.4.3,5-6) The Law of Moses' was dispensed by the servant who was faithful in all his house, God sanctified the day Seven. Parenthesis made Jacob enter into the rest of God till he was called home.
And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me." God called Jacon and said,"Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed."(32,28) Here in the meeting between two estranged brothers we can see ho Jacob prevailed over the man. Softs words blunt the rage of your enemy. On the other hand iron sharpens iron.
'Thy face' Jacob calls meaning he could interact with his brother one to one and the spiritual significance of 'the face is same. Jacob refers that his life was preserved at Peniel. It adds a deeper meaning as what Job refers, "I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee." and this, " For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:/And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:/ Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me."(Job.42.6; 19:25-27)
' Every tongue should confess' including that of Jacob. This is called Parenthesis. the day of the Lord.'
God designates Jacob as having prevailed over God and man. As proof God calls him Israel. But in 35.10 He names him Israel, a solemn act as was iin the manner He separated the waters above and below with a firmament. He called it heaven. Seal of his holiness was in the name. It sets his name in direct frame of reference to Jesus Christ."Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:/ That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;/And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."(Phili.2. 9-11)' Every tongue should confess' including that of Jacob. This is called the Parenthesis.
Now for the text:
So Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan, that is, Bethel, he and all the people that were with him.
7 And he built there an altar, and called the place Elbethel: because there God appeared unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother.
8 But Deborah, Rebekah's nurse died, and she was buried beneath Bethel under an oak: and the name of it was called Allonbachuth.
9 And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of Padanaram, and blessed him.
10 And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel.
Ultimately, It is both a standard for all to follow and a gift made available through faith in Jesus Christ, offering salvation and restoration to those who believe.
Hello, I trust you're well.
Question 1: Why did God require a monetary offering in Exodus 30:11-13? It seems more like a human custom than something divine - what was its purpose of taking money for census? Later, Why Didn't God Just Say "Go Build and Maintain the Tent"
Question 2: How can I know that God didn't create other intelligent beings on other planets, possibly even in other universes and reveal Himself to them in a way unique to their nature, maybe through another form of Scripture or message? If they, like humans, sinned, would that mean multiple acts of salvation, even more crucifixions? And how does the idea that we were 'made in God's image' apply if those beings are radically different from us in form or mind?
Question 3: I was told, The Bible translation I am supposed to consider was the KJV/NKJV, but I was confronted that King James was a homosexual. Is it true? seems he had close relationships with men as Robert Carr and George Villiers through his letters and poems. Can we trust the King James Version knowing that? Can this be proven factual?
Question 4: Why was the concept of the Trinity not understood by the Jews, but recognized by Christians?
I have more questions, but I'll start with these. Thank you so much for your time and thoughts.
Yes, it's fascinating that after Sarah's death, Abraham married Keturah, and they had six sons ( Genesis 25:1-2). However, as you pointed out, Isaac was the promised child, through whom the covenant and the Messiah would come. These other sons, while significant in their own right, were not part of the line leading to Christ. The Bible makes it clear that God's promise was specifically tied to Isaac, as Genesis 21:12 states: "In Isaac shall thy seed be called."
God specifically stated that the promised lineage to Christ would come through Sarah alone, not through Hagar or any of Abraham's other children. This was made clear when He told Abraham that Isaac, the son born to Sarah, would be the one through whom His covenant would be established. Genesis 21:12 (KJV).
Humans must respect God's promises and commands because when they act outside of His plan, their own decisions can lead to consequences that deviate from His will. Abraham's decision to have a child with Hagar, was outside of God's original promise to Sarah. While God still blessed Ishmael, the consequences of that decision created division and conflict, demonstrating that our choices matter.
The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the light of the world, and Lucifer (or Satan) is a fallen angel who became the Prince of Darkness through his rebellion. There is no biblical support for the idea that Lucifer and God the Father are both sons of God, with Lucifer being the firstborn. This idea conflicts with the clear teachings of Scripture that affirm Jesus alone as the Son of God.
Lucifer's origin: Lucifer was originally a high-ranking angel created by God, but he fell from grace due to pride and rebellion. The Bible makes no mention of Lucifer being a "son" of God in the sense of divine sonship.
Isaiah 14:12 (KJV) - "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!"
Ezekiel 28:15 (KJV) - "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee."
Lucifer was a created being, not a son of God in the sense of the relationship between God and Christ. His title "son of the morning" refers more to his brilliance and beauty as a created being before his fall, not to any sonship status like Jesus Christ.
The true Son of God (Jesus Christ): The Bible is clear that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, not Lucifer. Christ is the eternal Word who became flesh and represents the light.
John 1:14 (KJV) - "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the ONLY begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."
John 8:12 (KJV) - "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."
Lucifer's rebellion: Lucifer's role as the "Prince of Darkness" is a result of his rebellion against God. He is the leader of the forces of evil, not a divine son, and his nature stands in stark contrast to Christ, the true Son of God, who represents light.
2 Corinthians 11:14
After the downfall and various diaspora of Israel to the winds (Babylon; Assyrian and Persia) following Solomon's rule; the Lord still had plans. He even gave the land a rest from the wickedness for 70 years ( 2 Chronicles 36:21). God's ways are mysterious.
We see that He has provisions for the birds of the air ( Isaiah 34:11; also in Revelation 19). This is part of His covenant as it were with all of nature; which instigated with the rainbow in Genesis after the flood; so perverted as a symbol of rebellion today.
Daniel would see the fulfillment of the promise of Israel beginning it's return after living out the entire 70 years of prophesied captivity in Babylon. We see the theme over and over in regard to those who are chosen of God being promoted in foreign lands with Daniel; Esther; and Joseph. With the return promised Daniel still asked the Lord to overlook the sins of himself as well as the entire nation; not taking anything to chance. We see like prayers in both Nehemiah 9 and Ezra 9 as we do in Daniel 9 which is interesting. The eventual return to Isreal would be a long and drawn out process to build the city from ruins and the Temple as well as getting many to leave the foreign lands where they were comfortable in their surroundings; no doubt.
God was beginning to show signs; as it were of His plan to eventually come up with a new covenant where men's hearts would be forever changed. Ezekiel discusses a heart turned from stone to flesh ( Ezekiel 36:26); and Jeremiah 31:31-34). Again it was only the Lord who would eventually seal us with His Spirit as a down payment as it was for our souls ( Eph. 1:13; etal).
The law was to be given it's full meaning through Christ as we will discuss in further posts.
The great "parenthesis" as it were for the church age between Daniel 9:26 and 9:27 when the Antichrist makes the first seal agreement with Israel (see Rev. 6:1; Isaiah 28:15) is left out of the O.T. a mystery.
The righteousness of God is perfect holiness and sinlessness. God alone possesses this righteousness. Our Savior Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, possessed this righteousness being without sin nature from Adam in His incarnation and living a perfectly holy and sinless life of obedience to the Father. He never sinned once as a human. As the divine Son, He could never sin because God is incapable of sinning
So the righteousness of God a human needs to be justified by Him is Jesus' righteousness. When we come to believe in Him, we receive His righteousness. It is imputed to us, and God accepts this imputed righteousness as our own and justifies us.
Romans 4:6, 11; 5:17, 18: 9:30; 1 Cor. 1:30; 2 Cor. 5:21; Phil. 3:9; Heb. 11:7; Jer. 23:6, 33:16 all speak of this righteousness that is of God alone and by whom we receive it in Jesus Christ for our justification. It is the only righteousness that God accepts as justification and leads to us being accepted by God.
Amazing how God has provided ALL we need for eternal life, godliness in this life, salvation from sin and death, deliverance from the devil and God's just wrath, sanctification throughout our life in Jesus, and glorification in the life to come after we are resurrected. There is nothing that God leaves out from our total redemption and fitting us for His eternal kingdom. We are saved by His wonderful grace according to His mercy He chose to give us before the creation of the world when He elected us in Christ to be saved and to be united to God through our union in Jesus Christ.
Always sets me to praise God when I consider these sure truths. Hallelujah
In general I am trying to focus on how our relationship with Christ when professing faith is a covenant between Him and us and the ramifications.
I hope you got your business with the neighbor taken care of. I'm trying to find some boundaries for someone I'm helping who is in debt way more than I want to be involved with. Trying to prepare resources if the Lord delays responsibly; and perhaps find a place in a rural location but waiting for the Lord to open one or two doors completely and for some moneys to come in.
It has been a while since I posted so am happy I got these ideas although I kind of touched on some of it before.
I firmly believe many will be left behind who call themselves Christians and many in the first half of the Tribulation will die as martyrs but will be sanctified in the process to be able to be given spotless white garments and stand in God's presence. If anything because God seeks full maturity and the mission given to them to be completed. Not sure how you feel about that.
That is what i believe brings the full fruition of the Joel 2 revival; I don't see a big revival before that and it seems against scripture if truly many fall away in the last days. The false church of Babylon will appear to have a revival or mass movement with one world religion which can't be totally revealed until after we are out of here. I probably said it before but i believe THAT is the source of martyrdom for the first half of the Tribulation; and later a separate killing when all true AND false religion is destroyed by Antichrist and he alone demands worship or death.
Maybe it is wishful thinking. Whenever I see people walking away from the faith it is like a dagger in my soul. God has called some back this side of the Rapture. Our departure I believe will send the necessary shock wave to bring life to their sleeping souls.
It is interesting that after Abraham and Sarah had Isaac and Sarah had died, Abraham married one of his maid-servants, Keturah , and together they had 6 sons well after Abraham was 100 years old. These sons peoples the Arabian peninsula, but none of them were the promised child (only Isaac) nor the lineage of the Messiah who was promised.
Once again; with Uriah the Hittite we see that God honors a "pagan" marriage. In fact the Hittites were to be destroyed originally due to their evil practices yet this man was clearly more righteous than David and the account of Nathan the prophet backs this up. I bring this up along with the Gibeonites in 2 Samuel 21:2 and following verses to show that God honors covenants between men when His name is invoked. There were a mixed multitude who joined Moses in the Exodus; and others could become Jews in the O.T. times under HIS terms. There were rules that spanned multiple generations that involve not entering the most holy place; but God's ultimate purposes were to bring in the Gentiles; as Isaiah states and the verse cited with Paul in Athens in Acts 17 also shows.
In any event; David was permitted to sacrifice after the destruction for 3 days which resulted from his following Satan's plan for him to do a census of how many fighting men he had. This showed David's reliance on human strength rather than trust in God for victory and had a severe consequence. As with Abraham's purchase of a burial plot for Sarah this man would be considered a "pagan" as he was a Jebusite one of the original people before the Jews arrived where a full price was paid for land ownership.
It is interesting how God works in this way. Whether this man believed or not is uncertain but clearly if he was involved in pagan worship there God wouldn't have approved of sacrifice there.
The brief peace of Solomon's rule wouldn't last that long as he decided to multiply wives and gold and horses; to say the least.
How he could remember names of 700 wives and 300 concubines is quite a feat. How he could be that stupid led him to near destruction and the book of Ecclesiastes seems to indicate his repentance but is a sad ending of what could have been a lasting kingdom of Israel; whose greatness will only be completed in the Millenium of Christ.
When we continue on through Biblical history we see how God prevails in His promises despite more bad kings than good and continuing rebellion much of the time with brief respites of repentance from the nation at large and their brief times of respite and blessings before they entered into further rebellion. The pinnacle of the history of Israel occurs with David and Solomon.
Examining Saul and his downfall reminds us how important correct worship is; and that "obedience is better than sacrifice" as 1 Samuel 15 states. Saul attempted in chapter 13 to do a sacrifice; which only the priests were to do; and in chapter 15 he didn't totally exterminate the enemies or their animals; and these actions would lead to him being removed as the king of Israel.
His reaction would be years of madness and jealousy when David took front and center; and showed the enormous courage to slay Goliath and great patience with Saul's 21 attempts to stick a javelin in him and go after him many times. Eventually; Saul stooped to seeking the witch of Endor to communicate with Samuel about what he should do; and then was killed in battle.
David like Christ was a man of God's own choosing. He wasn't of great stature or rank as a shepherd but nonetheless ( 1 Samuel 16:12) he was the one chosen to become king.
We see in David's heinous act of adultery with Uriah the Hittite's wife and subsequent murder of her husband (a sort of by proxy concept putting him directly into the front lines and accepting his death as common misfortunes his explanation rather than setting him up) in 1 Samuel 11:15 which was the real story was a disgraceful act. Psalm 51 explains God's mercy as murder and adultery were by law to result in stoning. God somehow used this to bring about the descendants leading to Messiah through Bathsheeba's lineage. 2 Samuel 11:26 showed she mourned; it is hard to say how deliberate her outdoor bathing was as bait.
The prophecy of Genesis 15:13 of 400 years of Egyptian captivity given to Abraham during God's cutting of the animals in his promise to Abraham way back then finally let to the beginning stages of the Jews entering the promised land. As it was with Abraham Moses wasn't exactly a quick study. Exacting justice in Exodus 2:11-15 at 40 years old led to ANOTHER 40 years before he could BEGIN to lead his people to the Promised Land with the initial phase of the release from Egyptian captivity and destruction of the Egyptian army and yet ANOTHER 40 years before finally getting out of the wilderness; only to be denied access to the Holy Land due to one particular transgression of splitting the rock in anger. So he died after seeing the land afar ( Deut 32:52). It would be Joshua and Caleb the ONLY survivors of the original generation and the children of those who came out of Egypt who would finally BEGIN to enter PART of the Promised Land; and centuries later until much of it was conqured although it would never totally be achieved and won't be until the Millennium.
Acts 17:30-31 states
30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
The above verses demonstrate Paul's discourse with the men of Athens who worshipped an "unknown" god. It shows how all the world is still under His control and eventual judgment. When we see Israel reverting to pagan practices when they should know better such as Joshua 7 with the "accursed thing" stoning was the response. Worse; the rebellion of Korah in Numbers 16 brought a sudden punishment of hell with the earth opening up. This should serve as a sober warning to those giving allegiance to being a "Christian" today.
It is an interesting sidenote to study Genesis 20 and the later account of Abraham declaring his wife was his sister and how God dealt with the situation when the surrounding ruler could have taken her as their wife. It shows that the institution of marriage affects others; and that pagans also had wives that God would interact with from time to time. We see that importance with John the Baptist who was beheaded reporting an adulterous relationship among a pagan ruler; again reinforcing the covenant of marriage for all mankind.
At any rate; as with all other covenants God instigated the movement of Abraham from his homeland to the wilderness; although he apparently had the influence of one of his relatives that could have held him back from full effectiveness. God's plans seem strange and contorted in our human logic. Abraham and later Moses spent much time going in circles basically in the wilderness largely due to the sins of those around them but partially due to their own foibles. These were a couple of old dudes that seemed to take an eternity to get their acts together; if we want to be real. Of course God expected Abraham and his wife to believe him in having a natural childbirth; maybe with men living longer Abraham could fathom it but of course with Sarah at 90 she laughed it off. They tried to circumvent things by having Abraham have relations with Hagar which stirred up a whole hornet's nest of troubles; but in the long term fulfilled certain prophetic plans of God. We might wonder if God would have worked differently if men weren't so ornery about doing things THEIR way. It is interesting how God could be so involved with Abraham's personal lineage covenant promises while at the same time finalizing plans and instigating destruction of Sodom and the surrounding cities; as well as discussing it all with Abraham who bargained to save it if 10 righteous existed.
God chose a lineage for His people that would eventually have a descendent that would be the Messiah; listed with both Mary's lineage and that of Joseph albeit it wasn't through his offspring. We see that with Noah only he ad his family were saved. We read in Genesis 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
I would argue that this meant that his DNA was not corrupted with the offspring of the Nephilim with women and their offspring.
Again; this ensures God's covenant with man would be exlusively for men not of offspring of corrupted angelic and human children. Satan no doubt either wanted to totally corrupt every man so that either Messiah couldn't come and God would have to destroy everyone which apparently he came within millimeters of accomplishing. God of course gave all the instructions to Noah; who we read got drunk after planting a vineyard following the flood; so clearly he wasn't perfect. Many tend to read that he was a preacher of righteousness and assume it was him seeking repentance; I would argue it was a declaration of victory as they were unsaveable ( 2 Peter 2:5); and that fits right in with those sons of disobedience preached to by Christ in 1 Peter 3:19.
Let us take pause and thank God for His tender mercies and longsuffering. Some are in ignorance as to the fact that powerful entities and principalities are controlling the world and their minds leading them to destruction; others worship demons and Satan himself thinking somehow it is worth the favors they gain temporarily in this world.
As we go on to the story of the tower of Babel ( Gen. 11:1-9) we see how the world nearly came to an end with the attempt of a one world government before the time of prophetic fulfillment; thus God confused their languages; and I would argue broke the continents to today's location ( Gen. 11:19).
But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. ( Luke 19:27).
This passage follows the parable of the "talents" and is slightly different than the parallel account in Matthew 25 where the servant that buries his talent is cast out of God's presence. Here there is loss of reward; and then a focus on those who rejected Christ as Master or King over them; which would infer unbelieving Israel specifically; and more broadly all those who would fight Him at Armageddon.
God's original covenant was; as with all others instigated by God Himself in the institution of marriage; so maligned today. One could say that man's original design to take care of the Garden of Eden by Adam and later by he and his wife also was as a covenant. Thorns and thistles would mar the once perfect environment there; and the contentious behavior and jealousy to compete with the headship of Adam over Eve was also a negative effect of original sin on their part.
Our Lord; of course is always one step ahead in His love for humanity in general and for His chosen people in particular. This is; of course brought out in the prophecy of the seed of the woman in Genesis 3:15 which is pronounced on the serpent after God dealt with Adam and Eve.
One could only surmise as to any like covenant arrangement by Lucifer and God before the fall. The auspicious worship and music leadership detailed in Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 show the role of authority granted to Lucifer which apparently went to his head. It is interetsing to contemplate on the fact that enjoying the role God gives also disappears when we don't keep God in His place and it becomes more burdensome approaching God with the weight of sin. Thus; in general the wicked and unregenerate can no longer enjoy the presence of the Lord without submitting to the TERMS of reconciliation. We were all enemies ( Rom. 5:10)
Thanks for your help and I agree completely.

God bless you.
seems to me to be a call not just to outward obedience, but to an inner zeal ( Rev 2:26) - something that requires vigilance against distractions, false teachings and the illusory comforts of this world. It's a faithfulness that stands the test of time, like a candle lit on long nights.
The Lord doesn't just ask us to do good, but to keep it pure - until the end. And the promise of reigning with Christ (see Rev 20:4) is given to those who persevere not by their own strength, but by continuous, silent and steadfast faithfulness.
When I read that the names of the redeemed will never be blotted out of the Book of the Lamb ( Rev 21:27), my heart calmed down. It's not the fear of losing, but the certainty of being written - not in ink, but in blood. The Book of Life records our creation ( Psalm 139:16; Dan 12:1).
And then, when I heard the doxology ( Matthew 6:9-13) of ( Revelation 7:12), I saw in it not just words, but a perfect symphony. Seven praises - praise, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power and might - all belonging to God, for now and also for the end of time.
The "Amen" there is not the end of a prayer, but the eternal confirmation that everything already belongs to Him. Like a song in heaven.
"Unto this day"
This day refers to the decree of God the Father, So the Covenant of seven days has only one centre of gravity. So every aspect of the narrative draws us to it. What does it say, in the case of Jacob? I "worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. "(Phili.3.3; 1 Jn 3.23), He that has the Son has the Father as well. So his volume is according to the Covenant. This is made distinct by the number 144x1000. 1000 tells you of the day decreed for the Son, Ps.2.6. The constant 144 tells you of the gospel of God and of Man.
The day also tells you of the Priest- King aspect of the saint blessed in the Son. "The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek."
Is this 'deep meaning' and irrelevant. Alas "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:/In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."(2 Cor.4.3-4)
According to the grace given to me I am placing this on record of great mercies with which God had called for this word ministry in my sun set years for some 15 years plus. But as with Jacob I may say,"And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him," and it was the sun of righteousness.
And peace be with you,
"And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved."
What was the place called Peniel? He himself prays to God, "for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands." The Spirit gives us another instance when Elijah went over Jordan."and they two stood by Jordan./And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground." (2 Kgs.2.8-9) Before we consider the connection between the two Jacob admits 'I am become two bands" Both worlds of the Spirit and of his body are as real as one. That is the soul of man. Elijah asks,"And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee" It is the double portion that Elisha asks of him. This double portion is the fulness of any believer whose life is centred in Christ Jesus. So Elijah is called home."behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven." This volume is guaranteed for a believer under the everlasting Covenant. Angel of God before blessing there gives him a new."Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed." Double portion means two worlds as one.(32.28-29) So the Covenant of seven days blesses any believer in his Son and this volume is called 'prevailing over' God and man. Instead we have imposter churches with their activism.Has anyone taught to knw the truth as set in the Genesis ch.1 and Ch.2.1-3? Who has pulled the veil over truth without which it is all but house of nothingness, Beth Aven? Soul of the blessed and Christ must be as one. Peniel was Jacob not to rely on his flesh and he entered into the rest of God.
